What does he have to do, fighters he has to defeat to secure that Hall Of Fame status when it's all said and done?...

He's getting on in age now, but I suppose if he was to move up to 168 and beat Bute or the Super 6 winner he'd be worthy of a spot.

If he keeps it up he will have a good chance imo. He has to beat some more contender though and not worry about pacquiao mayweather and cotto because those fights arent going to happen

No. Yes, if he defends his title at least 5-6 times against good fighters at 160 or moves up and wins a title against Bute, Ward, Froch.

Do you think his wins against Cintron (He won that fight), two wins against PWill (He won both), Pavlik and Dzinziruk would be enough to obtain a HOF status? I have to agree though, at this rate and the way he's demolishing good fighters he should be a HOF. I think he's not there yet but close..

Wow! Thats kinda hard at his age (36). By the time he moves up in weight he'd be 38 and i don't think he'll be able to compete guys at 168 cause those guys are just way too big for him. But you never know. Sergio got skills...

No he went obscure for years beating unknowns

then broke in by beatint Bunema, drew Cintron yes he deserved it by KO and UD but it was a draw its in the books as a draw, he lost fair and square to Williams, He beat Pavlik in great fashion, he KO'd Williams in brilliant fashion, and he KO'd Sergey D in great fashion

he held the WBC 154 for a short while dont know if he defended, he holds the RING Middleweight Title, but he hasnt reigned long or defended a lot or beaten any other hall of fame guys

unless he does something outstanding b4 retirement id say not quite

He either establishes some kind of reign at 160 OR goes up in weight to win a title. I didn't say both of them.

That is actually my next question and I was thinking of making a thread about it too lol Do you really have to beat guys with a HOF resume to be a hall of famer?

Of course. ATG he is on his way on that one too. Nonito and him are making Floyd and Manny look bad at the moment.

I'd say no at the moment.. Like some people have said, if he can defend the title a few times, maybe unify some, move up to 168 and win another title against a top name, then he could probably earn a spot..

Beating names like Bute, Sturm, Froch, Ward or even Hopkins if he was able to drop to 168lbs..

Even though he's steamrolling through opponents right now, wins over Pavlik, Williams and Dzinziruk isn't going to get him in the HOF.. It's gonna' be tough for him as he is already 36 and he may be too small for 168 while there aren't too many big names in the 160lb division either.. Only other person worth fighting right now at 154 that could boost his name and career is Cotto which he'd probably be highly favored against but people would put him down for fighting a smaller fighter..
