And for the record I DON'T even want to see the GGG-Maravilla fight now. I don't want to see any of his fights anymore, but if you need a paycheck, you hustle, that's how it is. I've seen PLENTY of guys out of retirement come out and call out the top guys in the division. Not go around cherry picking, calling out Pac? That's embarassing. But I guess for Martinez that's normal.

Barker and Macklin were way bigger names than Golovkin when Martinez fought them. It was GGG that was the unknown quantity.
Not even a World level guy like Darren Barker had heard of GGG back then.

Golovkin began to make a name for himself as Martinez was on he way out. Their timelines were way off , even Able Sanzhez admits that.

GGG already ducked Derev , its done , but you'll wait until his career is over before you'll judge him for it ? lol , thats a new one.

Cherry picking is trying to fight Miguel Cotto instead of Dervo , cherry picking is mentioning the ghost of DeGale instead of Dervo. Cherry picking is fighting Dom Wade instead of Andre Ward
GGG is the real cherry picking ducker , not Martinez.

"Way bigger names", not exaggerating at all here LOL. Nobody's apart from MW hardcores has heard of Barker or Macklin either, at least GGG was rated highly by hardcores, those two had nothing going for them. When he fought Murray he was definitely not more popular than GGG. I guess we'll just let that one slide.

I am not waiting till the end of GGG's career, I am giving another chance for GGG to face him after Canelo. GGG will have ample of time to face the best MWs such as BJS and Derev, I'm fully expecting him to face these guys after Canelo fight provided he wins.

Why bring up Ward? We're talking about MW division here.

Way bigger relative to GGG , yes thats true. Nobody knew of Golovkin and you can put it down to poor management or whatever , but that was the way it was.
He was promoted by Universum/K2 and he never even featured on a Klitschko undercard. Not once.

GGG already had amble time to fight Dervo. That mandatory was two years overdue when GGG gave up the belt.
It was a duck and a disgraceful one at that considering who he chose to fight instead.

Did GGG even say he'd fight Dervo down the line? I don't think he did. If that was the plan he would have made it clear , but all i heard were rumors of a fight with James DeGales ghost.

I believe if GGG had come around a bit earlier then Martinez would've fought him. When the fight was REALLY being discussed by hardcore fans Sergio had one eye on retirement and he was physically ****ed anyway. It wouldn't have been a wise move for him and i'm also a big fan.Besides Sergio's proven anyway, he didn't imo need the fight

He should come out as a gay man instead out of retirement. I'd gladly divorce my wife for him.

Come on, most of their popularity was gained after fighting Martinez, they were pretty much just as unknown as GGG. I don't give GGG a pass on Derev, I think he ducked him. I am willing to give him a second chance because of the Canelo thing but if he doesn't fight him in good time after it'll defo be a massive duck.
