    Thoughts on Sergio's claim?

I don't believe he will knock Paul out, but I do think he has the talent to reverse the outcome of their first fight.

I'm not sure who will win this rematch, but I sure am looking forward to it. This is the best fight out there that I'm aware of happening between now and the end of the year.

Hopefully this fight will lead to a 3rd.

I could really see either guy winning.

If forced to pick, I'm ever so slightly leaning towards Williams as well, but I can certainly see Martinez pulling this off.

Will be interesting. Both of them were short on time to prepare last time out.

In the case of Williams, he was preparing for a stationary conventional fighter and he wound up getting a southpaw who could move, instead.

I can't wait for this fight!

This is a fight where no outcome would surprise me.

    This.

I'm just looking forward to the fight - I scored it for Martinez by the closest of margins last time round. It's a contest that really could go any way.

i like martinez a lot but i don't see him winning this. people keep saying he took the fight at the last minute and didnt have time to train but they forget williams who did have time to train was intensively preparing for a come forward double jab right hand fighter in pavlik. williams has the superior corner and will prepare accordingly and this fight will be much less competitive than the previous

Man, i almost dont like that these two have signed to fight again, these two will probably beat the ever living crap out of eachother once again, and while entertaining, it has to be shaving off valuable years off the fight life. I hope its an entertaining fight, but i also hope that both of them are able to continue on the same level afterwards, let alone after a third fight.

I like both these guys a good deal and wish they could have gotten a little more exposure against some bigger names, that wouldnt quite take out of them what they will do to eachother perhaps, at least before they settled their unfinished buisness.

At any rate, hard for me to root for one or the other in this one, i like them both.

You rather have them fight Espinos or Rubi(sh)os? At this moment PW is Martinez' Frazier :bbb

    No, id rather have

    Martinez vs Angulo
    Martinez vs Cintron 2
    Martinez vs Sturm

All fights that would give Martinez some more exposure, while raising his profile a bit more (maybe not so much the cintron fight but he deserves a w against him) and all the while not taking too much punishment.

And for Williams, id rather see

    Williams vs Mosley
    Williams vs Berto
    Williams vs Angulo
    Williams vs Cintron 2

    For all the same reasons,

then, after a fight or two of those from each guy, THEN i would have liked to see a rematch.

Dont get me wrong, im not complaining that these two are fighting eachother, im just stating a part of me is sad that these two (especially if they have a trilogy and each fight is as good as the first, which is doubtful) might beat the best out of eachother before being able to really cash out in a showcase type fight against another top, big name fighter that wont beat years off their career.

Tis' the sport though, and id rather this fight get made then them never fight at all, they have unfinished buisness and both are close to their best, with the middleweight title on the line, doesnt get better then that. I am happy this fight got made, and excited, but a part of me is a bit sad, and worried as well, i think because i like these two so much. I just hope they are the same afterwards.

This Fight should happen.. or else we will never be treated with the third and FINAL one.. hope MARTINEZ would pull this one off.. I expect a lil adjustment on Williams than on MARTINEZ for this one though..

Does anybody know if Martinez has a rematch clause? That's pretty typical in voluntary title defenses.

I fancy Williams in this. With a full training camp to prepare for Martinez style.

Williams has not shown any ability to adapt in the middle of a fight and looked horrible against Cintron, so I'm going to have the give the edge to Martinez.
