    Martinez is awesome but its the payday he wants, cant blame him at this point of his career though.

    Despite time not on his side, he needs to keep winning big. There will be others in the meantime to keep him busy like Golovkin, Sturm, Lee, Vera, Lara, Angulo, and possibly Jr and Canelo in the future. He's still the most exciting fighter of his divisions. He'll make more fan$ than lose any.

    It's not that fighters don't want to fight him, it's that fans don't want to see him.

    Legacy = money?

    Then yes.

    If he is looking truly for legacy he would be looking up - not down. You don't build legacies by beating up on midgets.

    A legacy? The guy has only been "in the boxing public eye" for less than 2 years. He's done some good things sure but geez, a legacy? He can't even sell tickets. The internet campaign to hype him and get him exposure and fights is eerily similiar to the hype they had for Barack Obama back in 2008....now look where he is now lol.

    . The guy comes to fight everytime. No suckerpunches or dehydrating his opponents going on in his fights. Sergio isnt doing to bad either selling tickets either. You even hear Manny and Floyd fights giving away tickets so that shouldnt be an excuse. Sergio gets paid better than Chavez Jr yet Jr is supposed to be the more popular fighter. Sergios willing to give up his check! So if they lose, do Pacman or Floyd still deserve to get paid more than the winner? Sergios a G.

    Hes a career 154lber and such an exceptional 154lber that he did spectacular at 160. Why all this nonsense of fighting at 168 when he's done 154 most his career? Hes only fought twice there now all of a sudden do 168? :lol: Far away from Floyd and Manny huh? He's closer to 40 now he even agreed to do the unthinkable at 147. Whatelse and what other excuses are next? Cut off this feet hes too tall? Margo and Oscar werent too tall, were they?:lol: Ridiculous.

    what the guy weighed in the 170's 30 days before a fight. 147 is stupid that means he is only in it for a payday. But if he wants to go to 147 and get his ass beat then in aint about legacy is it?

    I think he should concentrate on the Cotto/Margarito winner. During the post fight interview, pull a Shane and bumrush the ring demanding a match. That is always a good way to get people talking.

    Who the hell cares if he weighs 200lbs, if Manny weighs 220 lbs or if he wears a g-string all that shits irrelevant. First *******s said "Well Sergio has to come down 147" now that he will, why im the hell do they act like they care that he'll be dehydrated? Even at 147 its only *******s that dont want the fight. Even Manny wasnt impressed by Sergio, he probably would fight him, but its one excuse after another. Fighting the best at all cost under their terms and risking his purse its all about legacy. Sergio is a hell of a fighter the hate mostly comes from *******s doesnt surprise me at all.
