Yeah, a cherry picker who fought Pavlik and Williams in his last two fights going in as the underdog almost overlooked by all. Smart thread jackass.

  2. Well, if Sergio isn't going to fight a legit middleweight then that's the offer that should be made. Not an offer to an old, blown up welter. Sergio really just went down a few notches on my respect list.

You are a shameless piece of trash man, in every aspect of the word. Weren't you here backing up Pavlik for his fights with Lockett, Rubio and Espino?

Pavlik still catches hell because the 2nd fight with JT wasn't a title defense, and JT was the one who wanted the catch weight.

When JT was champ he fought 6 straight fights against world champions, and people call him a hype job.

When Pavlik wanted a big money fight he moved up to 170 and fought Hopkins, and people still try to claim he ducked certain fighters

Martinez just ducked two entire divisions, and gets a pass. The hypocrisy among so called "boxing fans" knows no bounds!

  5. Then fight a legit guy @ 154 if that's your stance. Fight someone who is actually campaigning @ 154. A guy who has EARNED it. It seems to me that Sergio is trying to make his cake and eat it too. He wants the glory of what the middleweight title but doesn't want to defend at that weight. It's reprehensible.

exactly-for someone who's been in the ring with margarito-Cintron-Williams and Pavlik and be called a cherrypicker is just ridiculous.

No, pavlik catches hell because his fans thought he was the goat.

People needs to try to understand the bussiness part of boxing before making stupid comments. I think Martinez already fought very hard opponents. I can't blame for looking for a good pay day against a boxer who always sells pretty decently. Plus, Cotto is at 154lbs and Floyd might even be tempted. So, a fight at 155lbs might make much more sense than the stupid belt.

    Pure horse****.

  10. So Martinez claiming his stake of the middleweight div. and being "the man" in said div. offering to fight a blown up welter a catchweight fight @ 155lbs. isn't cherrypicking??? What world do you live in? This doesn't have anything to do what he's done in the past...it's what he's possibly considering doing in his next step. And if he goes through with it, it's a cherrypicking move. FACT.

So, you also agree a guy who fought Cintron, Williams, Margarito, and Pavlik is a cherrypicker???:patsch:patsch:patsch

It looks like Shane will be fighting Mora next. I'm not sure why Martinez kept the MW belt if he wants to fight WWs and JMWs.

Reallity check: Sergio Martinez knows he dare not take up Pavlik's offer to fight at 166, and he is scared shitless of Paul Williams anywhere from flyweight to yo mamma's weight.

Didn't Mr. "money", "cashcow", "P4P King", "#1 welter", fought a 36years old guy who should never fight at anything over 130????????????????

If Floyd can do it, Martinez can do it. He has the same right. And Shane's experience could even give him a lot of trouble if you ask me.
