    If Bute beats Ward, Bute will not be ranked in the top p4p list by people who overrate Ward, because Bute is not American.

    Remember Dawson? He was ranked where Ward is now. What happened when Pascal beat him? Did Pascal get ranked higher? Oh, no. Dawson was deemed overrated and Ward was given his place in the p4p list.

    If Bute beats Ward, Ward will be deemed overrated and the next over-hyped American challenger/champ will take Ward's place.

    Just ask BigReg for details as to who the next "hope" will be.

    Bute will only get a top p4p slot if he were to beat Ward if there's no American alternative AND there's a chance that Bute will be dethroned by some other American soon.

    Poll is pretty much even

    Floyd didn't duck him, Floyd is a 147 fighter

    the difference between is size is too big, Martinez vs Ward would make more sense size wise than floyd vs Sergio

    Have to go w/ward. He's had a grueling schedule of opponents the past 2 years. Mares probably haf the second toughest opponents. I'm not even saying this because I'm from oakland otherwise id put him @ 1.

    Lol. that's funny.. you'd probably consider me a ***** and I voted for MARTINEZ... (don't stereotype).... for the record though, I'm not a *****, but I'm convinced he's the best fighter in the sport today

    Ward has beaten Dawson by TKO, might have been drained but still a good win, Martinez schools chavez for 11 rounds and takes a easy decision.
