Do you consider him an ATG fighter & maybe HOF material? I was thinking about it the other day... Top win over Pavlik & an ATG stoppage over Williams (props for those) but are these two wins enough for immortality though? Will his losses hurt him? (Cotto, Margarito & probably Murray too).. He was clearly stiffed against Cintron though but i think Williams did just enough i the first to nick it. Martinez was a worthy champion no doubt but he was far from dominant in many performances. Never fully unified 160 & doesn't have a long dominant run of defenses either. Dzyndzyruk, Macklin, Barker, JCC Jr are decent if not spectacular wins too. Taking all the above into account is he ATG/HOF material for you?
No. That's not what i asked. The salty 3G shaped part of your brain is interfering again. You are getting confused.. Read again.
As for his losses - the Margarito fight loss happened when he was pretty green and Tony was a monster. The Cotto fight doesnt even need mentioned as the guy could hardly walk HOF definitely. ATG? Not quite
Neither imo. He was a likable enough chap but being a lineal champ for a short time in only one division with no hof boxers on his resume shouldn't qualify him for the hof. He is clearly not an atg by any stretch of the imagination.
Who the hell has JCC Jr beaten aside from Andy Lee? GGG has destroyed every opponent and names like Lemieux, Murray, Geale, Brook, soon to be Jacobs. Chavez is a joke who has a padded record.
If Sergio isn't a great , how can Golokvin be.. Ask these people if GGG is an ATG. Ask Beouche da bum streak with his giant donger swinging from his hideous metre high forehead.
Where have you been? Since Floyd retired, EVERY THREAD here is about GGG, one way or the other. Unless it's about Ward.
JCC was 46-0 and his his prime and was the size of a LHW when Sergio hammered him 11-1. Thats a better win than all those guys.
