OK now Sergio said he wants Mayweather and Manny and wants to be #1 P4P.

Guess mayweather is going to stay retired. Two of the toughest southpaws calling him out.

They'll never step into the ring with him. Too much of a risk

Wow. Thats pathetic. A 160 pound fighter calling out a 147 pounder.

If he REALLY wants a challange, why not continue challenging the higher opposition in 160?

Pirog would make hamburger meat of Martinez.

Ok. My immediate knee-jerk reaction after watching that impressive 5 knockdown performance was "Manny better stay out of this guy's way". Guy's on a great roll right now. Knocking out top level comp and looking buffer, sharper and faster than ever at 36 years old. Maturing a lot like Barry Bonds at his advanced age. BUT, the more I think about it-NOTHING surprises me as a Pacquiao fan. I thought De La Hoya was too much. I thought Cotto would be a bigger challenge. I was nervous about Margarito. Each time I have my doubts Manny rises to the occasion. A NINTH world title? Why not?

Well he isn't going to get them so realistically who will he fight. I can understand him wanting money fights but i really hope at age 36 he'll use the year or two he has left to built his legacy. He's a tremendous fighter and i want to see him tested as much as possible.

You mean a fighter whose risen to the #3 P4P spot capable of making 154 calling out two former 154 title holders who surpass him in ranking?

    Yeah, how pathetic...

He wants money and recognition. He's too big for Manny but he knows Manny will stay P4P number one in all likelihood if he stays down at welter.

floyd is big enough weight and frame wise, but hes never doing it.

pac is too small,he can barely make 150 and still be the same fighter.

maybe martinez should unify middleweight and look for a catchweight fight with a super middle title holder?

sergio needs to stop calling out pacquiao for fukk 's sake..he's too small for your ass sergio.....the man was a 112 champion at one point, telling to fight all the way to 160 or even 155 is b1tch move by sergio......aleast with floyd, that would only be 30 lbs north of where he started his carreeer at.....

A Martinez fight with either Mayweather or Pac is just wet dreams! I think even Martinez knows that. Martinez was asked for the "mythical" P4P rankings and he said his dream/goal is to be number 1, and of as now Pac and Mayweather are on 1 and 2. I am not saying I expect Pac or Mayweather to fight Martinez at 160 since they have never fought there or for Martinez to fight below 154lbs since he will most likely be dehydrated.

The main road for Martinez to reach the #1 P4P is, IMHO, on his next fight to be against Pirog. After Pirog, if James Kirkland is ready a Martinez/Kirkland fight will be good if not Kirkland then Cotto/Angulo. Then Bute and finish off with Ward/Froch at either a catchweight of 164 or at 168lbs. That for sure will grant him the undisputed #1 P4P status he much so desires.

All those fights within a 1 1/2 to 2 year span!

Pac is too small to fight Martinez. Mayweather only fights women.

I want to see Martinez fight Pirog. It's the only fight at 160 I want to see.

Floyd? Never, Pac? I don't think so. He's just too small, But we'll never know. I learned a lesson by doubting Pac's ass since Barrera.

Martinez is no longer champ, unless you count the fictional diamond belt. Pac will never take this fight at middle anyway, nor should he have to. He has already moved up 5 divisions in the last few years and seems to have maxxed out at 144-145. For Martinez to make this fight he'll need to get to atleast 152. He has a much better chance at getting Mayweather in the ring.

Pac is my favorite fighter, but I seriously think Martinez would be over the line. If Pac were a 154 pd fighter this fight would be guaranteed incredible...I still think even with Pac being a 145-148 pd fighter it would still be great, but no way does pac get the best of it.
Those guys you mentioned didn't have the speed, or athleticism of Martinez. The reason those guys got beat is the reason Martinez has beaten his latest opposition....Speed and athletic ability.
Martinez has everything Pac does, EXCEPT he's 15-20 pds heavier than Pac on fight night!
As for Mayweather I think he has a better shot since he is a little bigger than Pac, but LOL....Mayweather wouldn't know what hit him with this guy. No way can Mayweather counter even half of Martinez punches, no way he could continue to take them, and no way does he knock Martinez out (which is the only way he could win). I'd die if Mayweather even mentions Martinez name!
