    WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (50-2-2, 28 KO’s) isn’t just content with getting a rematch against former WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (46-1-1, 32 KO’s) next year and proving his win over him on September 15th wasn’t just a fluke thing, Martinez wants to take on Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26 KO’s) and show the world that he’s better than the 35-year-old star.

    Martinez said to the Spanish program said “Tip Ball” as quoted by elmanana.com.mx

    “Floyd, you be ready because I am going to find you in the 2013. From here to November of 2013, I am going to find you truly.”

    Martinez better get in line because Manny Pacquiao could be next up for Mayweather Jr. in 2013 followed closely by WBC junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. In addition to those guys, you got to figure that Miguel Cotto figures into the mix as well due to the competitive nature of his fight with Floyd last May as well as the huge pay per view numbers that their fight drew. Martinez, 37, will continue to be a dangerous opponent for Floyd due to Martinez’s size and power.

    If Floyd signs to fight him next, watch everyone talk about how overrated Sergio is and that Floyd Drained him to 154.

    Promoter Lou DiBella:

    "Floyd would be favored at 150. Cotto is a dead man at 154. Cotto is a half-shot. He's a great fighter, but he gets hit by everything. He incented Cotto to make a big money fight. It's very smart business. If he wants to handicap Sergio, we'll fight him as low as 150. And we'll give him 80% of the money.

    * 150 pounds, Floyd's favor.
    * 80% for Floyd.

    Where's Pac? Sergio offered to come down to 150 for him, but I guess he would rather drag old lightweights up to 147. :lol:

    This is great news. Martinez is putting all the pressure on Floyd like no fighter has. If Floyd doesn't answer the bell then he deserves the coward label some people (unjustifiably) slap on him.

    The whole Pac drama is a soap opera between two prima donnas. Both of them are guilty of dodging each other / changing demands / excuses / etc. Floyd and Pac are equally callous in ducking each other. If one's a coward then so too must the other be.

    Martinez, on the other hand, don't **** around. He's willing to drop to an exceedingly low weight, forfeit a WHOPPING 80% and he'll back up what he's saying. Bringin' Sexy Back

    Time for Floyd stop fighting the Victor Ortiz's and Cotto's of the world. Now with Sexy calling him out that Pacman fight don't look so bad.
