Here we go again folks.....it's over at the scene.

So what do you think ESB?

Khan recently agreed, and in light of what happened in the Rubio fight I would have thought Chavez Jr would have jumped at the opportunity.

What is it with fighters refusing stricter drug testing do these fighters not watch other sports like cycling, athletics, tennis? Almost every week someone is being caught cheating and there isn't even the money in those sports like there is in boxing in alot of cases, yet we are supposed to believe there is hardly anyone cheating with performance enhancing drugs?

Boxing is the HURT business, yet has the easiest testing to circumvent why not do the additional testing Chavez Jr?

You have a history of using a Diuretic so it's not like you don't have form?! :patsch:patsch

Something wrong with these wildcard fighters maybe they been punched in the head too much and lost all they common sense!

Massive props to anyone who agrees to extra testing.

However, one problem we now have is, bouts will not be made because boxers can flat out refuse extra testing...which is currently within their rights.

Boxing needs to overhaul the testing system on a whole to stop boxers from not only cheating, but to stop boxers from saying no to extra testing.

Chavez, with his past, should do the decent thing and say yes. It's a shame that this is gonna' be an issue, because as AnthonyW above as just said, it seems like 'testing' is now being used as another reason to dock and dudge fighters.

Part of me thinks Martinez should just be ok with no OSTD just to call his bluff. See what his next excuse would be. Offer him a one-time deal with normal procedures on the agreement that he must fight him now. If he refuses - in the hope of getting him later - then the OSTD would be back on the table for when he comes crawling back.

And if he accepts, then cool, because with or without PEDs, Martinez would beat him with ease.

Aye. It would be clear as day that Chavez/Arum wanted none of Martinez if the ODST is taken off the table, and they still don't agree.

I also agree with your final sentence, Martinez beats Chavez either way IMO.

Is Chavez Jr. afraid of needles too? This is on its way to becoming standard practice. They even have VADA now, which makes these tests cheaper.

Can't blame Martinez for requesting that a proven drugs cheat submit to additional testing. Chavez Jr. is a ****ing piece of ****.

:deal Martinez shouldn't need any added requirements to fight Julio. Not based on skills, athletic abilities or talent. Sergio is a small MW and Chavez is a big MW....but Sergio is always The smaller man at MW. Sergio seems like he is now unsure of himself which shouldn't be the case. Chavez is tough but still more of a brawler.... He has shown good improvement with his boxing skills but he's still a level below Sergio. Just fight the man!
