He shouldn't call out much smaller fighters and act as if he's doing something courageous, no. You won't see him calling out Pirog or Ward or Bute or Abraham or Andrade.

Well neither of those 4 give him an 5-10 million dollar payday.

Martinez wouldn't do bad to try to get the Cotto-Margarito winner at 154. He'd get a decent payday and fighting only a division above Pac and Mayweather would make it more acceptable to call them out.

In the meantime, there isn't a big name I can think of available for his next fight. Maybe Cintron to make that 'draw' right. Or Chavez Jr after he beats Zbik.

sergio is chasing money, and after all he has done recently he deserves a big money fight more then anyone.

But he's got to do something to get those paydays. He should've fought Dzinziruk at 154. It's unrealistic to expect Mayweather and Pac to fight him at middleweight

He's also trying to make fights he can win. Unlike 80% of this board, Sergio knows his limitations. If Pavlik comes back at 75% of himself, Sergio loses the title. Pirog takes his title. Any of the guys at 168 take his title. Dzin was total euro ass and got a lot of good work done against Martinez.

He could make several million from Ward or Bute, and enhance his status doing so. Why haven't I ever heard their names pass his lips? Why only Pac, a man half his size? I don't see Pac calling out Juanma or Jhonny Ghonzalez.

yeah the 168 division is stacked, sergio is old and already jumped 1 weight class plus pac and floyd are hardly loosing any rounds at 147. if pac vs floyd dont happen martinez vs either of them is the next best thing

All the more reason for getting down there for Dzinziruk. He'd have shown he could get back to 154 and his call out of Pac and May would've been taken more seriously. For sure the calls for him to fight super middles wouldn't exist.
