Arum said this already, when Cotto beats Chavez, hell have Cotto vs Pac 2, for pac's 9th title.

Hopefully this means Cotto will blow off a possible Chavez match (a fight that I have absolutely zero interest in) and challenge himself against Sergio. It's really not a good stylistic matchup for Miguel but the sport could use this kind of a showdown.

    Man, **** that fight.

If this is the case, hopefully Manny's team rushes to the negotiating table and makes the fight with Ortiz first.

this doesn't make sense. Chavez Jr is fighting Zbik for the WBC middleweight title. Why would he go back down to 154 to face Chavez?

    or did I misunderstand

He thought he was next in line for Chavez, if not Cotto as well. The fact that they're going to be matched up with each other instead makes him even more skeptical about his chances of landing big fights at 160, so he's thinking of moving back down to where there are more guys he can make money against. I don't know how serious any of this is though, as not many guys are going to want to fight him at 154 either.

I imagine he stays at middleweight, but is simply trying to signal to Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Cotto that he is willing and able to move down.

martinez going down to 154 is a bad move, he is chasing money but it aint happening like that. he was 175+ a few weeks before williams 2 and cut a hel lot to even make weight.
martinez is a middleweight now, target sturm chavez jr then the supersix winner.

His point is that he doesn't think he's going to get a Chavez Jr. fight. Top Rank is going to make sure that he only loses to one of their fighters if he gets the belt, and Sulaiman will only be all too happy to help. Also, I have no idea why people think there's a realistic chance that Sturm will fight him.

Let Pac fight Martinez @ 160 for a possible 9th weight title. I'm kinda getting tired of Pac's lack of worthy challengers (ones that don't go on extended vacations).

Pac vs. Martinez @ 160 :happy

Dibella needs to make the Angulo fight happen while Martinez is waiting on Chavez (he'll UD Cotto if he gets by Zbik). Keep Martinez away from Sturm, Pirog, Golovkin. Sergio has star potential and that could end unachieved if he gets in with those guys.
