maybe him being in that tourney would increase viewers, sponsorships, everything, and give the tourney some needed credibility. i bet he could generate enough interest and exposure that the prize money would skyrocket up to over 100,000

 

Martinez needs a easy fight against a well known name to get more exposure.
cotto/chavez jr/margarito/floyd/pac/alvarez would all be fine but are not happening.
Therefore he should turn to the best option that is available which is ibf champion geale.
Him dating a pornstar or climbing a building in a spiderman costume, something crazy that would cause interes, just marketing the hell out of his name.

 

Get him to hang out with Lionel Messi in Barcelona, and Pique with Shakira. That would get him noticed. Or see if he can steal Giselle from Brady ha ha!

He needs to connect with his latino fanbase first. I mean promote the hell outta him and the endorsements will start coming in. If GBP had him hed be international by now. Somebody really needs to smack his promoter. Spain was Sergios 2nd home other than Argentina and Sergio was a part of the greatest year Spain had in its sports history. Needs to go back then bring fans with him.

They have international Prizefighter now too. If they had Martinez, Barker, Rubio, Taylor? and a few others in there it would easily sell better than your average Prizefighter and the US would probably want to see it too. The Prize could go up to £150,000 for a tournament like that.
The problem is Prizefighter very rarely sees the favourite win. Fighters don't approch it the same way and a 3 round fluke can dent your record. Good idea from a fan point but I can't see it happening. Why do you think prospects like Groves and DeGale are kept well away. I like the fact it gives the journey men there night as well, they deserve it.
