Sergio Martinez is a Hype Job Cherrypicker

He is a great fighter but shitting on Pac is stupid and beneath him. Move up three or four more divisions and keep kicking ass. But he can't he will get his ass kicked. :yep

Dzin only became 'highly regarded' as soon as the hype started for his fight with sexy Sergio. Now he's an anonymous Euro jabber, just like he was before the hype started. He lost the first Williams fight legit, good win in the second. Margo just plain beat him up. Cintron wasn't much by the time Sergio fought him, and Pavlik was severely diminished as well. Now Sergio is disgracing himself by calling out smaller men while pretending that SMW and the rest of the MW division doesn't exist. That's a HOF career? Williams himself has a better resume and a victory over Sergio. Does the Punisher belong in the HOF?

 

How many fights did Sergio have before Dzin? Oh yea, 2. Cmon guy Oscar and Margarito are about the same height as Sergio we all know hes really a jr middle. In fact, Sergio, Pwilly, and Dzin are all jr middles who fought at middleweight. No real advantage for anyone.

Not true. Dzin was getting some praise after beating Daniel Santos who was on a hotstreak. Not known in America, but in Europe they knew who he was. When Williams was the #1 jr middle it was Dzin, not Sergio, who was considered a threat to Williams. Sergios just getting started hold your horses resume wise its not a weak one. Hey, Pacman fought Margo for a 154 title why shouldnt Sergio be calling him out? Martinez is a BEAST! In the meantime, his team should look for interesting fights for him coz he is already fast approaching hi tale end of his career!

 

Martinez is awesome!!! Martinez was robbed in the first fight by Williams' personal judges, then he came back to be robbed again and did what he had to do, knock the cheater Williams out cold!!!

 

In all honesty, I think Pac would probably beat his ass. Doesn't change the fact that I don't like what Sergio is doing. In fights between big and small men, it's the small man that's supposed to be doing the calling out when he wants to take on a great challenge. Not the bigger man trying to avoid everyone in his own weight class calling out the little man non-stop. It's a ***** move, it smells like *****. If Pac decides he wants the fight and he asks for it, fine, but Sergio needs to STFU. Has sexy Sergio ever asked for Margo? Hell no. In fact, I would LIKE it if Pac called him out. Sergio is a weak link (compared to most MW champs) with a middleweight belt and would add a hell of a lot to Pac's legacy to get that title too.

Sergio's resume isn't exactly weak, but it's not exactly strong either. He has no business acting like he's 'earned' some kind of shot at Pacquiao, who he shouldn't even be thinking about fighting in the first place if he wants to be thought of as a p4p guy. He should be calling out Pirog or Sturm and trying to unify the title.

 

Martinez would probably toy with pac coz he simply is too big for pacquio but i would not give him much credit if that happens. martinez should be calling out guys bigger than him NOT SMALLER than him!

 

He simply wants big money fight why blame him for that??? And as for Pac it would also be great fight for him, because everyone would say that now its really serious, Pacman will loose, Martinez is too big etc... And Pacman would do impossible again (i would never bet against him ) And for Martinez - he has no one to fight at 160 anyway...

 

Alright just to clear things up, Martinez is calling out Pac and Floyd for an obvious reason, MONEY!

There is no other fighters out there who can make him even close to what he would earn fighting either man. Pac and Floyd are both smaller, but have put themselves in the jr. middle division before.

People seem to forget Martinez is a small middleweight and has fought at Jr. Middle almost his whole career. There is no doubt Martinez is bigger, but this aint the first time a bigger man has fought a smaller man for money.

 

uhhhhhhhhhh, Cintron, and Dzinduruk was undefeated in 40+ fights and had NEVER touched the canvas, so what does that account for :huh

 

You can't place the blame there entirely on Sergio. HBO had no interest in him fighting Zbik, thus Dzinziruk stepping up to fight him - then suddenly Zbik is a suitable opponent for Julio Chavez, Jr. It's not that Sergio is ducking anyone, it's like most things in life - politics.

He will be shockingly outclased, I'll give you that.

 

Both Manny, or at least Roach, and Floyd showed interest in fighting the Martinez -Williams 2 winner. After the sensational ko, there was not a peep from either. So, Sergio, a career jr middle, who has his biggest wins at 160, has the options to fight the best 154-160lbers. Floyd beat Oscar at 154 Manny beat Margo for a 154 title. Of course Sergio, #3 in the world, has the right to call out Manny and Floyd. Williams used to call them out whats wrong with Sergio doimg it? Does that mean I think Sergio beats both? No one knows because they are all extremely talented no one knows for sure. The hands down approach by Sergio coukd work against him or it could work for him. You say Sergio should direct his attention to Sturm and Pirog when both looked bad recently and you say Pacman would beat Sergio, yet Sergio is picking on smaller guys when Manny and Floyd fought for 154 titles? Had they not fought for those titles Id understand your case, but now are trying to make me understand those were fluke wins at 154 so Sergio shouldnt be calling them out? Duran wasnt complaining Hagler, Hearns, or Barkley were too big. Margarito wasnt too big for Pacman was he? Other than Manny and Floyd, Golovkin is the only other threat to Sergio. Pirog I like him, but he and Sturm dont stand a chance.

 

Pac and Money made themselves out of big money draws with thier styles. Pac like his nickname, just gobbled up everybody like a forrest fire and people liked that and payed to see that. Floyd , like his nickname ( well one of them ) Pretty boy was disecting fighters like a surgeon and looked so good doing it that everybody wanted to see him. Sergio has time ( if hes as good as he proclaims ) to clean up 154 in dominate fashion and them go back to 160 and be a beast for three fights and people will pay to see that.
