160 is the middleweight limit. sergio's actual fighting weight is 168.

he is now a legit middleweight.

That jr middle/catchweight stuff means not a whole lot. Pacquiao-Margarito was, in essence, a huge welterweight against a very small welterweight. Big props to Manny Pacquiao for a great win, to be sure. He's done it: flyweight to welterweight.

But Martinez is not a welterweight. Pacquiao does not/should not have to fight him to prove himself.

If they do it, it should be at 154. I'm starting to lean towards Pac against Mayweather but Martinez is a bridge too far IMO. Martinez doesn't have the great record yet but his ability makes him a great fighter.

You have got to be kidding me. Do you think he got the title legitimately?

Well Pacman is not a natural Jr. Middleweight or a natural Welterweight. Martinez is too big, fast and strong for Pacman. Bad fight for Pacman.

Will never happen. Martinez stated: "I believe that dude to his physical make up he has reached his limit. I think to go up even more would be difficult for him. Maybe he could challenge Paul Williams, because he (Williams) could go down to the welter, but me personally I don’t think I could ever fight him because I could never go down below 154 and he can’t go up above the 140s. Even though in boxing you never know.”

If it's official and in the books, then it's legitimate.
