He has refused to deal with the top 5 guys in the division and
it doesn't look like he will in the next year or so, if ever. The
RING magazine champ has an obligation to defend against the top
5, yes read the rules when the RING magazine title was birthed
not that long ago and it specifies that the champ needs to defend
against the very top of it's own ratings, and Sergio has yet to do so.
Chavez jr was not rated in the top 5 when he fought sergio. Then
Sergio goes and fights another guy barely in the top 10. The depth
of class, as all knowledgeable fans know, isn't in the lower rung of
the top 10 but in the top 5. The chump has consistently avoided
these fighters. Geale, GGG, and quillen all deserve and have earned
there shot at Sergio but no negotiations or even a slight amount of
publicity have occured about Sergio facing any of these fighters.
Therefore, it should be policy that unless Sergio fights either of
the 3 fighters mentioned within 12 months he should be stripped
of the RING title and it be vacated. I personally think that GGG vs
quillen should produce a new 160 lb RING champ.

Guy would get utterly destroyed by anyone in the top 5 at this point. He ain't fighting them. My guess is he fights Chavez Jr. and cashes out. Or maybe he fights Chavez Jr., Canelo, and possibly Floyd for a final cash-out fight. Don't know what his plans are, but I doubt he has plans for fight anyone at the top 5 anytime soon. My guess is he's trying to get as much cash as possible before retiring.

Chavez was a top dog in the division, and outweighed Sergio by 20 pounds. That is an achievement in itself.

Macklin and Chavez both had the No. 3 rating at the time he fought them, according to the Ring anyway.

That financially makes sense, but if he wants to be a $$ fighter
then he can't do it as the middleweight champion.

There's a difference between the lineal champ and The Ring Champ. Sergio would only cease to be the lineal champ if he retired or lost.

No it's accurate, unlike your absurd "Proska was top 5 when Golovkin beat him" rubbish.

Well, i think your response was stupid...........and pointless. If
you don't have an analysis then why are you here? This is a
boxing site where we try and talk about the sport. you're
obviously a Chris crocker type who's a lovesick little pansy
    boy looking for attention.
