i have martinez @ #2 p4p now above donaire and also floyd due to his inactivity. Ring should now revise their p4p ranking since they currently have donaire @ #3 above martinez. i have a feeling that they will still retain floyd as p4p #2 after their next update. floyd after all is still under GBP.
so putting pac and floyd ahead of martinez on my p4p list is not giving martinez any props? oh ****, this is a martinez is #1 p4p thread so having a different opinion automatically means shitting on martinez right? atsch or are you just hurt that most people are retaining pac as #1 while many are putting him above floyd due to floyd's inactivity?
no, like i said, you are so blindly biased, you will always have pac above everyone, no matter the situation
that's your opinion of me but you are wrong. i am less biased for pac than you are biased for floyd. again, show me where did i not give martinez his props timmy?
hmm... martinez actually defeated a career light middleweight fighter who was moving up in weight. is this guy even rated @160? i think this can even be considered as just a "stay busy" fight for martinez. the guy may be the WBO light middle titlist but still he was moving up in weight. and there are better champs @154 compared to this guy. beating a b-level guy doesn't warrant you the p4p #1 rank above pac.
ok, i have this as my p4p list. 1. pac 2. floyd 3. martinez 4. donaire 5. marquez before, i have donaire, martinez and marquez interchangeably at #3 with no problem. martinez beating dzinziruk, would have push him above donaire, imo. i also have floyd above martinez not only based on recent accomplishments but i also factor their abilty. so in that sense, you must have seen already that recent accomplishment and resume are not only my criteria in my p4p list. but you are here going gung-ho on everyone not making martinez their #1 when you failed to check their reasoning. so ok, assuming that you failed to check on my criteria, and let's base it on recent accomplishments. pac did beat cotto, clottey and margarito as his last opponents. martinez has pavlik, williams and dzinziruk. i have cotto more regarded than pavlik, williams over clottey but rate margo as a better win over dzinziruk. but even if you rate dzinziruk win over the margo win, pac was comfortably locked at #1 postion until floyd had beaten mosley. until then, martinez worked his way up the p4p ladder but beating pavlik, williams and dznziruk would not make him pass pac's recent accomplishments and he needs to do more.
can you imagine the ass whipping a 160lb Pac would put on Martinez, or how a 160lb Floyd would take him to school.
I know is your criteria, but rating Cheato over Dzinruk, is IMO a stretch, specially if you factor the beating that he took from Mosley and his showing before Pacroids fight, the only ability Margs has show post brick hands is how to take a beating, nothing more, and SD is JMW Champ that was undefeated with wins over Joel Julio, Daniel Santos, Thiam and Lujan, they are not all time greats but no soft touch either, and Pac vs Cotto you know he was drained counting that over Martinez vs Williams is plain biased. PS. about Fraud you had already stated that you base this on ability, but that has to be show in the ring, against fair competition, not like over weight and smallest fighters (JMM)
Agreed. Taking nothing from Martinez.. He dismantled a very good fighter in Dzinziruk, but this win shouldn't make him the pound for pound best.. In fact, he didn't even move on my list. 01. Pacquiao 02. Mayweather 03. Marquez 04. Donaire 05. Martinez With Mayweather and Marquez both inactive right now, if they continue so, then they could drop down in rankings..
