I read he was doing a lot of little to no impact type cardio. Swimming and what not.

 

I read he wasn't doing a lot of that stuff, but maybe he is now.

 

Getting the feeling Cotto is going to take this one.

If this fight came off right after Sergio beat Pavlik, then the story would be far, far different.

 

You should start reading spanish sports news papers such as www.marca.com, there you'll find plenty of Maravilla's trainngin camp videos, you'll see him running in the beach and in madrid streets.

You can feel that he lacks confidence in his knee during the entire article.

In his mind, he knows that this could very well be his last fight. This is a fighter who's pride has convinced him that he can still perform at the top level. That's is heart talking, not his mind or body.

We saw what happened with Murray. Martinez's body is breaking down. And the Cotto fight could convince him to retire, win or lose.

 

yea after i read this article im not so confident for sergio its like he trying to lie to himself.

he even said he didn't want to admit the injuries before the murray fight so if his leg gets worse now you think he would admit it ?
it doesn't look good for him.

 

I'm calling a degree of BS or atleast overselling. I think he's trying to sell that he's crippled to make this seem more evenly matched to drive up interest and maybe to give Cotto a false sense of security. It could totally be legit, but this day and age knee injuries and recovery like Sergio's are fairly routine amongst athletes.

 

Sergio wins this pretty easy, late TKO or UD

 

That would suck if Cotto won another title via a Yuri Foreman knee break

I wanna see a legit result

Watching Martinez vs Murray again I definitely thought Martinez did worse. Scored it by a point for Murray live and watching it again I changed my mind on a round or 2 toward Murray's favor

Now the way Murray fought is a fight Cotto isnt capable of pulling off

Always felt Martinez with handspeed and activity would overwhelm Cotto and stop him easily

Martinez if he isnt 100% wont be able to dominate in the way I always felt he would

 

football is rough on knees, and the argentine game is hard.

 

Cotto will get his ass kicked in this coming June. He's too small to fight at 160.

 

He is small for 147.
