It's pretty simple really: Lucian Bute weighed 187 lbs. for his last SMW fight. Sergio is just not as big as these guys.

Right? and 3.2% body fat of 178 is about 6 pounds, so with that logic
sergio would have to dehydrate himself just to make supermiddle.

Are you sure about that? Source or STFU. Bute doesn't gain 20
pounds between weigh-in and fight time. His body doesn't look it.
    HE's maybe 180-181.

    he's right| but you're right too.

Bute walk at 188lbs but at fight night he probably weight around 180.

Well, I watched the live Showtime feed of the fight, and they showed his fight night weight. There is no "link"

He was 187 against Mendy on fight night. Unless Showtime was wrong in what they said/showed.

The thing about Sergio is he has the frame for LHW, but could also fight easily at 150. Guys got the best of 4 divisions if he wants them. Could become the best and richest S American fighter in history.
    Floyd
    Pac
    Cotto
    Ward
    Bute
    Froch
    Kessler
    BHop
    Dawson
    Khan
    etc
    etc
    etc

He could put 10 HOFers on his resume if he wanted to. But he needs to move down NOW, rather than later, then up one class at a time.........if he's legit like he sometimes appears.

Martinez is a small MW who could make 154 easy I think.

He should not be fighting at WW or SMW.

Bernard is a bit big for him really, but besides that...Why would he want to fight him? Your a 36 year old man, who is ranked P4P #3 in the world, and your able to fight 1 division above the sports biggest stars, and get 4 times the pay than against Hopkins to fight them
Hopkins don't draw much. Can't beleive they even put his fight on PPV.
So, between him being small for Hopkins, Hopkins being a good fighter, and having the possibility of fighting for much more money against smaller guys... You guys gotta think about this?
