    Over on the scene.

"I want to show that I am the p4p best in the world. I have to fight Mayweather or Pacquiao. Mayweather would be the most difficult fight of my career and it would go to the scorecards but Manny I would knock out."

Klitscho would be a better opponent. Martinez should do a Pacquiao.

Pac is too small but with a lot of pop. It's not a given that Pac gets KO'd but Sergio's size is perfect for Floyd. His style and movement would be exactly what Would make it a great fight! If Floyd turns it into a technical boxing match, it's over for Sergio! If Sergio comes to brawl, it'e over for Sergio! If Sergio comes to box and punch and makes an effort to control tempo he can have a shot at a decision!

Umm duh you have like 20+ pounds on him you twat. If you wanna be P4P go up to 168 and mix it up with the big boys there or fight the best guys at 160, instead you are picking on midgets? :patsch

Mayweather wouldn't last, he has a glass jaw, especially against middleweights. I think sergio is saying this to get a fight with floyd as he knows Pac is too small. Giving mayweather credit by saying he would last is just stroking his ego.

Two fights I would love to see, though I don't think either fighter will take him up on that. Thing is though, if you look at may against mosley, dude looked like a linebacker, he looked like he had 5 to 6 pounds on mosley. Physically, he doesn't looks that much smaller than Martinez. However, yeah, if this fight happens, I will be more than surprised.

I totally agree ,., For quite a while ive been saying Mayweather would have a much better chance, style wise, and despite still being smaller with his style he wouldnt be manhandled or out gunned as easily as Pac would.. He would engage on his terms so therefore wouldnt be as vulnerable as Pac is to counters... You just know that Pac would engage Martine when hurt and therefore leave himself vulnerable,, Mayweather would not even dare go there with Martinez and fight the most defensive fight he could, and hope his pot shotting is enough to impress the judges.

You do realize this is the 3rd weight class Sergio has fought at right?Martinez fought half his career at Welter, and until recently the rest at JM... He is 36 years old so he has filled out as much as he is going too.

Its not like past mw greats Hagler,Hopkins,Monzon biggest wins werent over former Welters. And those 3 fought their whole careers at MW unlike Martinez(Hopkins even turned pro at LH), Hopkins is the only one who stepped up and that wasnt until the very end of his career.. The legendary Hagler and Monzon n ever once stepped up in weight.:nono

how exactly does mayweather beat sergio? a slick southpaw with movement heiight and longer reach then floyd, I think martinez stops him or wins a decision 116-112 type.
I think he beats pac as well but also 116-112. nobody beats martinez 160 and below.
mayweatherand pac would have the best shot, at 160 its pirog who is capable of beating him allthough I wouldnt favour him.

Not really. Mayweather has the perfect sytle to beat Sergio. Paul Williams came in chin first and got countered like crazy. Sergio will have to engage. Manny will come forward which will possibly get him KO.
