    great fight.SM controlled first 4 rounds then KP started coming back in the middle rounds scoring a KD and starting
    to find his target.but SM had a phenomenal 9th round KP's
    eyes were bleeding heavily he looked like a goddamn maxi-pad and cruised to easy points victory.:happy:happy:happy
    Booradly will commit suicide and Youngstown/Ohio police and hospitals will be busy with domestic violence cases tonight.im ****ing stoked.:thumbsup
    n ot about the domestic violence but Pavlik getting starched.

    The way martinez negated pavlik's advantages in the early stages and the latter stages of the fight was just exceptional. When Pavlik was 'coming on' in the mid-rounds it wasn't a complete turn around like the commentary team suggested it was more an even fight. After the knockdown martinez just upped his game and responded like a true champion and went after him shutting down pavlik with flurry after flurry.

    Another robot has fallen by the wayside to a slick fighter, the difference was pavlik wanted out when he got cut, martinez went to war when he was put down and took what he came for.

    hahaha, funny, apparently Pavlik ducked the high risk/low reward Mundine in favour of fighting the less dangerous Martinez :lol:

    A less of a risk? Hardly. He went life and death with Williams (many thought he won) and beat Cintron.

    I thought he beat williams and he knocked out cintron. He had to take the martinez fight to save face with the paul williams situation. On paper martinez was a 154lb 35 yr old who's most notable moment was a loss. This was a fight for bragging rights. I think they slept on him and couldn't see or didn't listen to what ability martinez has.

    Dress it up however you like, but to say he's less of a risk than Anthony is madness. The fact that he was in the fight of the year and is known to American fans is probably what got him over the line... and by some distance.

    exactly... the guy is far more dangerous than Mundine and has a plain better set of skills anyway.... Mundine would have got his ass handed to him by Williams that night

    i'd pick Martinez to stop Choc at 154 and 160 within 10
