Maybe because they're good looking they don't have the typical chip on their shoulder that many far less attractive boxers have, being ugly can mess someone up pretty bad psychologically.:yep They never had to be concerned with how they looked and impressing people in that way, freeing them up to be concerned with the less fortunate. That's probably total BS....or maybe not.

    Thought food.

Gaddafi, Hitler, Saddam, Pol-Pot, Kim Jong-Il... not exactly candidates for Chippendale's.

    I'm just saying!

My favourite fighter of the past 10 years or so ... Heart of a lion and always put on a good show ... Deserved better to go out on the Cotto performance

Probably Cotto's best performance. He put up a good fight, but wasn't in Cotto's class.

Was one of my favorites. Highly skilled and always entertaining. He'll be missed.

He and Tarver are my two main inspirations for still thinking I can turn pro.. :nod

(even though I'm way older than either of them were )

That doesn't make any sense. Ali was shot and old while Holmes was prime. Cotto was shot and old and wasn't even a MW before meeting Martinez. Martinez was the MW champ of the world, the favorite, and many expected him to easily beat up and knock out Cotto. Only the opposite happened.

The Cotto-Martinez fight is more like an ancient Holyfield(Cotto) who was the underdog beating up and knocking out Mike Tyson(Martinez) before the bite fight. :deal

Like how Papa Margarito & Daddy Pacquaio making Cotto kneel before them and bray "No maaaaaas" with tears running down his ground beef cheeks will affect Cotto's legacy?

Margarita got her ass beat something nasty. I'm pretty sure she was close to death when Cotton(whose father recently passed away which distracted him all night) beat dat azz.

We have to all respect Cotton for getting beat up by bricks and then by a midget yet still having enough in the tank to compete in this level. The man is simply amazing.

Meanwhile, Margarita and Martinez are still hiding in obscurity, ashamed that they lost(lost is an understatement, they just got beat up) by a damaged goods, shot midget. :yep:deal

I've had some thoughts regarding taking a few fights as well just for fun. Then I think about the last time I sparred and how shots I blocked on the arms felt like I was getting hit with bazookas. I immediately come to my senses. :patsch.

Sergio had about as good a run as anyone, too bad he was in semi-obscurity for much of his career. Great ambassador for the sport.
