Don't be blind by stupidity. Jr has fought the best MW and #3 P4P in Martinez, a MW champion in Zbik, and two top 10 rated MW's (at the time of the fight) in Rubio and Lee. Who has Canelo fought FROM (not at) LMW? Oh that's right, he TRIED to fight Kirkland and Williams (I guess there were no other LMW available other than a WW Ortiz and a JrWW Lopez. Canelo is no where near Chavez resume or balls! And imagine if he fights Ward or any other TOP SMW

I think Ward stops him in 7 or less.

Jr hasn't been a middleweight in years. In fact he hasn't been a super middleweight in years either.

If they both retired today and never fought again, Alvarez has the better resume, in my opinion.

Mad credit to Chavez Jr. for fighting Martinez though.

"a MW champion in Zbik" - come on now... Rhodes is a better win than that. Not to mention that the Zbik fight was super close. I scored it a draw.

Bute is the only one Ward didnt want to fight, no matter what Ward says. Bute would torch jr given their styles. Ward would toy with him and win every round. Jr has no business at 168 in my opinion.

Well, I disagree on all counts. Will be interesting to see how the year plays out.

Jr. would get humiliated by Ward. JC could probably come out of retirement and beat Jr. easily, Jr. is simply not an elite prizefighter.

I wouldn't mind this fight if Chavez beats a good 168lber first. A Bika fight would be amazing and Bika would be a great test. Even a Will Rosinsky.

Maybe you're right, who knows. Sadly i dont think we'll ever find out since:

    1. I dont think JR will step up to 168 (no money if both Bute and Ward move up)

    2. Ward and Bute will most likely move up to 175

If Chavez has no business at 168 than he better go to 175. He has no business at 160 coming into fights as a cruiserweight, its a disgrace and unfair.
