Most avoided and he should never have gone to 160.

He is simply not cut for 160. Sure, he is good and can still win there... but he still shouldn't have...

I'm a fan of SM. But, he should fight one division up (if he is looking for names), and stop calling out WW's. He is in a tough spot though. The names at MW (JCC Jr) are ducking him, the names at JMW are ducking him. He is too big and skilled to entice the names at WW to come up, and he can't come down far enough. And most of all, he is not a big draw, so there is no real monetary incentive to fight him.

If Pac or May beats Sergio at 154 no one will diminish that. It would be 100% legit.

168 is just too big for Sergio and he needs to stay away IMO

Just who is avoiding him though? Small JMW Cotto? Undersized welterweight Pac? Welterweight Mayweather? His sexyness should not stop people using common sense and seeing the situation as those smaller fighters refusing to be needlessly cherry picked by him to give him a good payday. Chavez Jr and Sturm are the only ones you could say are ducking him, being champs in the same division.

Sergio knocked out Williams who was the most avoided fighter so he becomes the most avoided fighter instead. Remember? When Margarito was the most avoided fighter then Williams beat him and became what Margarito once was.

    Fix the thread title...

Below 160 virtually include the lowest weight.

Alright! I'll tell you guys once again, Martinez is now 37 years old so he doesn't have too much time in boxing, does he? His ultimate goal is to become #1 P4P in the world. To fulfil his wish, he will have to beat Pacquiao or Floyd Jr. If he moves up in weight to 168 and beats some of those Super MW champions, it won't automatically move him to the place where he really wanna be and it can turn out to be a great risk to get beaten by those bigger opponents. So, the best and the shortest way for him to become No.1 best fighter in the world is to beat the current No.1 fighter P4P Manny Pacquiao. This is why he calls out Pacquiao to fight him everyday. You got that?

Martinez needs to seek a fight with somebody his own size.

How in the world do you have Martinez avoiding Angulo and Quillin? He offered both of them fights and they both turned him down. Quillin's behavior has been absolute horse****; he turns down the Martinez fight for October, defeated a bum, and is now acting like Martinez is avoiding him.
