Lou Dibella has plans to push for sergio Martinez to get his title shot at WBC jr Middleweight Champ Vernon Forrest.

Martinez, the WBC's interim-champion, has been waiting for a shot at forrest for a long time. Dibella made a deal last year for martinez to step aside so forrest can have his rematch with sergio mora.

"Martinez wants the fight with vernon. He wants to fight the champion. The WBC May order a purse bid for that fight in the next few days. We are going to push for Martinez to get his shot and either vernon will fight him or give up his title"- Dibella

Thats Good News For The Boxing World.... Because If Paul Williams Gets Past Winky.... theres just more interesting matchups for the boxing world to get an opprotunity to see...

Paul Williams Vs Sergio Martinez/Vernon Forrest ... for the wbc belt...

thats great for the boxing world imo... not for the commercial world but itll be great for us

If Forrest doesn't press the action it will be boring. Martinez takes it on PTS IMO.

As long as Martinez doesn't fight Mora. I might have to kill myself.

Williams vs. Martinez will be exciting though. How can Martinez outbox the 80-100 punch a round onslaught of 'The Punisher'? I don't know if he can.

Forrest would have no choice but fighting Martinez if he wants to keep the belt.

I actually think that it could be a good fight. Forrest won't just sit and wait like Cintron did but he'll probably try to set traps for Martinez and time him regularly with the right. If he lands a few flush rights early, that could make Martinez very tentative.

I see it as either Martinez UD in a boring fight or Forrest KO as he has Martinez timed with the right and takes him out.

I think Martinez would lose to Williams, Santos or Dzinziruk.

But i definately think he would beat Forrest

I think nobody can beat Martinez at 154.

Forrest is too old to press the fight for 12

Forrest though old, is light miles better than Cintron, despite the KO ratios I believe he is the harder puncher as well but how much does he have left in the tank. IMO he would've KTFO of Cintron last night

Forrest excels against guys like Martinez, but it all depends on how Forrest shows up on fight night.

Martinez should never be allowed to fight on TV again. He is a turnoff for fans

What?Did you watch the fight?Who wa strying to fight? It certainly wasn't Cintron.
And if he is a turnoff then you shouldn't watch three quarters of the roster of fighters worldwide.

Vernon Forrest is the best 154 pounder in boxing.

My thoughts exactly, he'll beat both but him and Dzinziruk will be a toss up
