Haha everyones acting as if these fights are obsurd and we arent all going to watch them. Yes Arum put his guys in with older fighters who are coming of losses, but this remians the same in both fights. Mosley and Mayorga can punch. Both have KO power, and theyre both desperate and at the end of their careers. Thats where it gets interesting, we know cotto can be wobbled, and thats where it turns into a war or cotto gets on the backfoot and gets worn down. Same with mosley, hes got a very good right hand, as well as speed. We all know southpaws are open to that right. This is the first time in a while that pac is facing someone whos known for their right hand and not as much theyre left. Cotto, Hatto, De la hoya all were known for their left hand power.

In fairness I don't think Martinez has ever said anywhere that Pacquiao or Cotto were ducking him. He said he understood if Pacquiao thought he was too big and he blamed Top Rank for the Cotto fight not materializing.

Also Sarmiento's comments were in response to Seckbach asking him how they plan to follow up in 2011 on Martinez's Fighter of the Year win. He was saying he thinks they're taking a much higher quality opponent compared to Pacquiao and Cotto, which is clearly true.

Martinez has been quoted saying he knows cotto likes a challenge and thats why him and cotto would be a great fight

What? Can you provide a source on that, not calling you a liar, but I just didn't catch that one. If that is so, that Martinez called out Mosley after his KO of Williams then I agree he or his team have no room to be dissing Pac for taking on Mosley.

But I still got to give it to Martinez for taking on and taking out Williams the way he did and now taking on "the razor".

Pacquiao vs Martinez would be too much of a physical missmatch, even if fought at 154. You have one guy who can't break 150 and another who'd most likely weigh over 165. Pacquiao should just give up that useless belt he has at 154. That way, he'd be out of contention for fights like these. He's clearly not up to fighting at 154.

Cotto could fight Martinez. He'd be an underdog, but I wouldn't rule him out completely.

I have no doubt if it was up to Cotto that he would fight who ever they put in front of him. He may not be an ATG but the dude has a heart of a lion. Pac is a different story. I'm sure if Sergio agreed to drop to an uncomfortable weight to suite Pac. Team Pac will welcome the challenge.

If Pacquiao/cotto dont fight him there's a lot of good fights for Martinez at 168
