The De La Hoya who rematched Mosley versus the Martinez who fought Cintron. Great fight, who wins?

Martinez is good but he's not on a prime Oscar's level. I don't think Oscar was in his prime in the 2nd Mosley fight but still good enough to garner a UD over Martinez

Very good fight. I would side with Oscar though. Martinez' defense would be his downfall against THAT version of Oscar.

If it's Mosley II version or earlier, slightest of edges to Oscar.

If it's Mayorga version or later, slightest of edges to Martinez.

The trip to 160 is pretty clearly where DLH jumped the shark, come to think of it. :think

they should have fought back then, I think Martinez was fighting in England at the time, and had he had a decent promoter, we could have seen this fight happen. In his match against Williams and Stone around that time, he looks absolute dynamite.

I agree. I see it as pre Hopkins and post Hopkins. To answer TS question. I see DLH blitzing Martinez with speedy combos like in Castillejo fight.

Im a HUGE fan of Oscar but Martinez would give him trouble. Not enough though - Oscar by decision.

De La Hoya mops the floor with this Martinez, Martinez has never been in the ring with any that could exploit his conditioning issues. De La Hoya 9 TKO.

De La Hoya has conditioning issues himself and is often troubled by skilled counter punchers. It's a very close fight. If Oscar fights smart behind his jab he should be able to edge a decision, however, he often tends to get into unecessary wars. That could leave him open to a fighter like Martinez.

If the fight went into the inside and became a war then it would definately be Oscar by ko. No way Martinez outpowers Oscar. Martinez in no way eats Oscar's shots like he did Williams'. Best way for Martinez to be competitive is to to time Oscar's jab with a right hook.

    Oscar win.

The De La Hoya that fought Mosley II wasn't in his prime, but did still have enough of his reflexes to defeat Martinez.

When Oscar used that great left jab of his,he gives all fighters of his time fits.

Would have been a nice fight to watch.

oscar would have avoided martinez the same way he avoided winky wright. wright and martinez would be good. the wright that beat mosley and tito. although wright is clearly pass his peak.
