3-2 Martinez. Barker should have picked up the pace that last round, instead he let Martinez take it.

 

Tough round to score. BArker landing good shots but hes not busy enough, just like Lederman said. He spends alot of the round getting jabbed to the body and outworked.

48-47 Martinez. close one.

 

Barker is fighting the perfect fight here. He isn't buying into the feints and being drawn into anything. Fighting his own fight and doing what he is supposed to do.

 

Another round to Barker possibly. Barker is taking those little steps back and keeping his distance. Martinez having trouble getting through the guard with his single shots and combinations.

 

46 - 49 Barker

Barker is killing Martinez with his length and jab. He keeps Barker out deep with the jab and pretty much kills him every time he tries to come in, and drops out of distance when he feels like it Martinez is getting a boxing lesson.

47-48 Barker

Kind of a messy round. Barker less active, Sergio far more active but barely landing anything. Barker lands the cleaner, more effective punches, visibly snapping Sergio's head back. HBO possibly overhyping Sergio's performance here.

 

HBO commentators are puzzling me. What are they watching?

 

Martinez has won every round, even though he is getting hit alot.

barker needs to keep the pressure on sergio. When he throws, he does a great job of getting out of the way of a lot of those counters.

 

Didnt really score the 5th but after 4 I had it even. The commentators are idiots.

 

Their bias is out of control right now.
