Depends, will Martinez add weight? If we go by their last fight night weights. I'd say turn it down. 21lb difference.

IB, you should do a RBR for the replays of Pac vs. JMM on HBO the week before the fight.

It could be cool to go through and publicly state, round by round, how people scored the fight; and see if anybody's opinions have changed.

Suppose that's true, Martinez on the other hand was having a life and death battle with Barker :rofl

the only true fight for Martinez now is Pirog. If he ain't willing to fight at a catchweight against SMW's and LHW's, he has no right to challenge welterweights either. Fight Pirog and stop pretending like he doesn't exist. i'm done with my hatin lmao

I think either, he's referring to their two past fights.

Or he meant to do a rbr again of the fight, a week later. See if people see the fight differently.

i had martinez ahead by one round before the KO, a draw if i'd be more generous to Barker. and Barker wtf, he was hand-picked for this fight, its not like he was the toughest out there.

I'm a brit and...to me it it wasn't even close. Yes Barker was doing good defensive work...but completely neglected anything more than his bloody jab going forward.

When Pavlik could not make 160 for a rematch with Martinez, he tried to get Martinez to do a non title fight at 164. Martinez would not even talk about the idea. There are several good fights with good money waiting for him at 168, but all he wants to do is ***** about PBF, Pac, and Cotto. He actually called Cotto a coward recently!

Judging from a number of posts on a few different threads a large number of people are finally starting to realize Martinez is not some kind of immortal boxing god. He is merely a good fighter who happened to be in the right place at the right time so that a smart promoter could make some good decisions for him.

I just got back home... from the looks of this thread, I'm more near-sighted in my nuthuggery of Martinez, than I'd realized.

I'll pretend that it's because you're all blind.

Lessons Learned (from my notes on the main event):
    - Barker sure knows how to suck all the fun out a room.

    - The 7th round was the happiest I've been, all week. Sergio stood stock-still, stuck out his chin, and slipped close to a dozen jabs, in a row. Seemed to get Barker mad enough to pull his guard in a better punching position, turning blocked hooks into cupped smacks to the ears.

    - His plan may have been great, on tv, but to my eyes, it became, "Having Martinez punch my gloves into my face shows up on Compubox, as me landing clean shots. Besides, if I'm going to get a concussion, I'm going to draw it out, for maximum enjoyment."

    - Some executive, at Dickhead, Inc., bought up my entire section, as quarterly bonuses giveaways.

    - Devising a cunning plan to sucker punch the guy who just ripped you - for screaming your ugly head off, during the ceremonial ten-count - by having him teach you how to throw a counter right cross, is sure to backfire. Especially, if your girlfriend is way too hot for you.

I meant do a real time RBR when HBO shows the replay of Pac vs. JMM I and II in the lead-up to the third fight. See what happens when people publicly score the fight round by round.
