Why doesn't Lou Dibella try to make a fight between Martinez and Sturm? Bob Arum will not let Chavez jr fight Martinez. Pacquiao is to small. And there is no point in fighting Mayweather if its at 150lb where Martinez would be weight drained. If the money is good enough Sergio could go to Germany to fight Sturm. Sturm hasn't fought anyone that considered elite yet.
I dont think Sturm will fight against a real good fighter, like Martinez. The last two fights Sturm had lost, but UD was for him bzw. a draw and he still got his title. First he fights against Zbick, then we will see whats going on. Sturm is going to be a promoter, I think there he can earn more money.
Sturm doesn't have the movement anymore to make it competitive. Would love to see Sergio cut him up though.
Sturm has faded, he's not as sharp as he once was. He won't risk it, not when he can make solid money in Germany and have the security of fighting at home.
the fight would have to be in Germany and Sergio would get screwed over, Sturm wont leave germany since the De la hoya incident I think thats the same reason why the Pirog fight never materialised, Pirog only wanted to fight in Russia
Not true at all. He said he'd love to fight him in the US. But obviously he can't make Martinez an offer for a fight in the US, it wouldn't be promoted by his people.
Sturm will only fight guys in his backyard now. After getting robbed against Oscar. He makes good money fighting bums in Germany so he keeps doing that. I don't blame Martinez for not fighting Sturm at all. The division is crap and Sturm isn't a great scalp.
