How about putting some things into account like, Floyd fought Oscar and Cotto @154.. So why fight Martinez in a catchweight? :think That's like Cotto fighting Foreman and Mayorga @154 and when it's Margarito, he wants a catchweight.. atsch The logic behind a catchweight is, two guys who fights at different weight meeting at the middle.. But for boxers who already have experienced fighting @154 let's say.. And demands a catchweight, isn't that kinda being coward? :huh Just an opinion.. :smoke
Sergio would be harder at 150 than Pac would be at 147 though. Sergio actually poses a real threat where as Manny just poses one per his fans. Based on styles and physical attributes, Sergio is 3 times a more difficult fight than Manny ever was. Even at 150 Sergio poses a much bigger threat to Floyd than Manny.
I'm simply putting it out there that Sergio is the one who offered just as Chad is the one who offered. I would rather see this at 155 for the 160 title but that is still a catchweight none the less. Manny fights at catchweights and peeps (mainly his own fans) say that is ok, yet when Floyd is gonna do it when the other fighter is the one saying he'll go down then that is on the other fighter. Grown men can make decisions and if Sergio is going to make the offer then hey... Floyd isn't even the one who brought the catch weight up at first...Sergio did that months before the Cotto presser. Manny actually negotiates his catchweights and they aren't originally offered. I still would rather see this at 155 for the 160 title, though I know Floyd would be bashed left and right for doing this. Oscar and Bhop weren't bashed but like I said in the other thread, Floyd is held to higher standards.
This. :deal A comfortable UD win for Mayweather jr, @ 150 Floyd will be too fast for Martinez. Martinez won't have the power to hurt Mayweather, Looking weak & drained.
If Martinez really wants to go down to 150, It's his choice. He should know the bad sides of it. He is willing to fight Mayweather at that weight. Pacquiao fought Margarito @ 150, I don't know if which one would be worst but before he fought Pacquiao @ 150, He weighed @ 154 against Roberto Garcia. Martinez weighed in @ 159 against Chavez jr and to come down to 150 may really make Martinez very weak. Then again it's their choice.
