Sergio Martinez will continue his return against Jussi Koivula (24-7-1) in Spain on the 5th December 2020.

Koivula was last seen in June 2019 when he was stopped by Connor Benn in the 2nd round.

I Like that there is a little reference to Japan. Murata vs Martinez 2021 - Sergio will become a three time world champion. :deal:

Murata would violently destroy Sergio. Hope it doesn't happen.

Sorry to sound dumb but why is there a Japanese reference on the poster?

Martinez hopes to work his way up to fight for the WBA title currently held by Japanese Middleweight Ryota Murata.

just noticed he’s ranked 6th with the wba, would be interesting if the fight got made. I thought Sergios knees were finished though?

Apparently the time off helped them recover but to be honest that sounds like an incredibly big ask of him.

Um, nope, don't like this. Koivula isn't anywhere near old/shot/glassy enough for what I want the baseline in Maravilla's comeback to be.

Thankfully, he is a welterweight. At least Martinez has size on his side and Jussi boy isn´t a big puncher. So if things do go wrong, hopefully Martinez wont really get hurt.

It´s been a long time now and they seemed to have healed up. At least to the extent that he can train hard and get into shape.
His legs are gone tho. Which is to be expected at his age. It´s amazing how good he looked vs Chavez at 37. Dude is a freak and it still shows.
