Murray couldn't fight Chavez Jr. because he couldn't get a visa in time, anyone think he could be in line to get a shot at Martinez? and if he does, do you see him doing anything better than Barker or Macklin (two guys who are both more experienced at a higher level than he is) I see Martinez finishing him even earlier than he did the other two to be honest, I think Murray was very lucky to get a draw against Sturm (I had Sturm 3 rounds up) and he would be cannon fodder for someone as skilled and powerful as Martinez. Thoughts?
He is not in line to figth Martinez. Martinez is on the shelf until the Autumn when he will fight the Chavez Jnr vs Lee winner. Until then then his life will consist off Spending his millions of dollars This content is protected in a country that looks like This content is protected and the women look like.. This content is protected oh and by the way he looks like this. This content is protected and is the current Middleweight Champion of the world.
That is a quality post Rob :good And no, I really hope Murray doesn't get a shot at Sergio. It woul be a travesty and another Englishman getting stopped and getting plaudits for a few competitive moments. Boring. And Murray is the least impressive and accomplished of the three. Even HNDNJ would be a more intriguing fight for me. EDIT: Even though I can't remember the last time he fought, and Sturm Vs Hassan would be nice enough and I imagine, much more achievable. If these guys all fought each other in the next 18mths-2yrs then I think a potentially brilliant division could break out, with a well-respected champion going into his last years either cementing himself as a great champion or losing a challenging fight against a now-established contender. As it is...meh.
Let Murray battle it out with Macklin and Barker to see who is the best mW in THIS country. Murray doesn't deserve it AND i want to see Sergio in a fight Canelo/JCC/Cotto etc.
Canelo Vs Martinez is a fight I'd really be interested in seeing. Canelo should step up to middle soon IMO. Alvarez Vs anyone at middleweight is an interesting fight and he'd be less drained which will help him big time IMO. No point cutting so much when you're still growing IMO, physically and technically.
Canelo V's Jrn could be huge if one of them was the true Middleweight Champion, Cowboy Stadium filling huge. Probably will never happen as long as Arum is still alive.
