This is one of the best fights that should happen at 154. Who do you see taking this fight?

Williams its just all wrong for Martinez who likes to stick that jab out and pick his spots. Williams will let it pour on him. Plus I think Williams is just overall a better fighter. Style matchup + overall ability = Williams late round KO. Right hook knockout, beautiful

martinez is a fast southpaw who moves really well.....could pose some threat to williams like quintana....should be a good fight if they ever get it on

I think this would be a great fight. Martinez has the ring savvy to really confuse Paul Williams. However given the fact that Martinez likes to slip punches instead of blocking them, Williams workrate will eventually take a toll.

PW can win a round just by having good footwork...but it may get ugly in the middle rounds as martinez scrabbles to catch up

I think Santos if he comes in form would beat Martinez too and give Williams a harder fight

I would love to see that fight and it might make the perfect sense since imo Martinez is the best fighter in the junior middleweight division. Martinez has a good shot of beating Williams cause of his style but i favor Williams cause of his workrate.

PTP on cards on account of work rate, reach, awkwardness; the usual stuff.

Martinez has to try to frustrate Paul, moving in and out, giving him angles and going to the body early on. I think the major factor will be speed, in regards to Martinez, from the fights I have seen of Pwill, he likes a stationary target in front of him, Winky, Koelle, verno and margarito. Martinez has an underrated jab and power, good footwork and seems like a decent chin. I see this fight going like the following: Pwill, with his usual high workrate getting frustrated catching Martinez clean, Martinez moving in and out with his jab and bodywork, getting hit, but not cleanly. After the 2nd half of the fight, Martinez starts getting confident going toe to toe, both fighters landing clean. I think Martinez has a very good chance for a split decision. I see Pwill throwing a lot of uppercuts at Martinez catching him when he comes in. Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I like this fights potential. Actually this could probably be a foty type matchup. I honestly like pwill, but Martinez has a really good chance, and I am picking Martinez split decision.

This would be a great fight. This would decide who the best is at 154 IMO.

PW has the size, reach, height, workrate but Martinez has the footspeed and awkwardness to possibly pose problems. I think this fight is great because i can easily envision either fighter winning. Martinez is not like any fighter outside of guys like RJJ and Calzaghe. Very fast of foot speed, hand speed and reflexes. He can move in and out. But PW is so active and just keeps on throwing.

I'll go with PW decision but not confidently. I hope this fight happens sometime soon.
