many yes's carter is good but he is a simple brawler....not even that he didn't have much solid work rate so more of a one shot puncher.
    martinez should beat him

Martinez is little more than a Panamanian swarmer with a big uppercut, though.

 We go from the knockout chemical high thread that proposed Martinez VS Monzon...to Martinez VS a glorified journeyman. How far Martinez has fallen during the inactivity of that one day or so...

This is the type of fighter Martinez should be compared against. Monzon held the undisputed world title for seven years and made like 15 defenses. Martinez just won the title and has made zero defenses.

I take it you never saw Gardiello-Carter it was a close fight and Carter really beat the **** out of Gardiello at times. I only watched it through to round 11 but had Carter up at that stage. So Carter perhaps arguably should have wins over 2 lineal MW champs. Plus the win over Rodriguez, Fernandez and Benton are good ones

On his average days, Carter doesn't even beat Denzel- Prime for prime. Fact.

Martinez probably wins...I don't think its any kind of given though.
Carter gets a bit of a hard time on here, he only lost to the best for the most part and put the hurt on some very good even great fighters also.

I think Martinez probably outboxes Carter but I'd expect Carter to leave Paul Williams knocked out cold

I tend to exaggerate because...I have my reasons. But at least I admit I was just taking unfair swipes at him. (I also can't stand Zab Judah and knock him sometimes for absolutely no reason other than to be a ******* :conf)
