Surge. Forrest used to be able to neutralize speed and quickness with accuracy and timing, but Martinez will be too much for him now.

Sergio Martinez would ultimately prevail tho it's not sureprising if it would go
    eitherway.

    Perfectly stated.

I give Forrest a slim chance, but he would need to perform better than we've seen him in a long time to pull this off.

Man and the European fans say that we overhype our fighters. I have never seen a fighter that has done soo little in such a long career get so much hype..The guy just had a ****ing draw with Cintron for gods sake. His best win was over Alex Bunema and he was trashed by Margo. I just looked over his resume and its total crap. In the last few years he has fought guys with 10, 14, 23, 24, and 34 loses:think

You mean with concussive headbutts. Puhlease. The only thing Vernon ever had going for him was a big right hand and his overrated victory over Shane.

Dont watch Martinez record. Seriously the guy can fight. Dont ask me why his been protected so much but he used to be a very slick southpaw. He'll give Vernon tons of trouble in what could be a very boring bout. Those aren't that unusual for Forrest though. :yep

Martinez is Argentinian i think. He came here and decimated Paul Williams twice and Adrian Stone some years back. Both retired as a result.

im a big fan of sergio martinez, hes got mad skills

i couldnt believe that cintron said "nodoby hits that hard" lol when he claimed a head butt and after going down and the referee bought it! one of the strangest things ive ever seen in a boxing ring. it was a fantastic punch and they even screwed him over after that on the decision

Wow, that guy just completely exposed he never saw the Cintron fight and has no idea who Martinez is!

I think Martinez will win. Forrest while still a good boxer is a little but slow these days. He even struggled with Mora's awkwardness at first, so I don't see great things for him in this matchup.

Martinez won 2 out of 3 (KO and a shutout) with Cintron, then had a draw.

The referee waved it off, escorted Cintron to his corner, collected the scorecards, and let the corners invade the ring. Then he played 52-pickup with the cards, gave them back to the judges and resumed the fight.

All completely above-board and completely standard behavior for a ref. It's not Martinez's fault the Floridian judges voted for Buchanan back in 2000. :deal

Oh, and yeah, he's Argentinian and as awkward as it gets without being prime Emmanuel Augustus. :good
