Quick question, doesnt martinez bring good ratings on hbo in which is why he still fights on that network? And isnt martinez ranked number 1 of the real middleweight champion of the world? <<<It sounds more then fair for a 50/50 split or atleast 55-45 in chavez favor i guess.

People started talking about the WBC rules so I decided to read them, I didnt finish and had no desire to because all the rules are subject to the interpretation of the WBC president. Bottom line is, he can do whatever the **** he wanna do. For that reason, I won't put much stock in what will or what won't happen in the matter of drug testing. However, the questiuon still remains; Why now and why Chavez. Martinez had plenty of time to voice his concerns and demands. I guess martinez feels if chavez again fights in june for another bs fight and only give him a very low ball offer then its only fair for martinez to want an olympic drug testing. I am not against drug testing, but if the opposing fighter wants it, it just looks like something the other guy cannot accept. Too much of a psychological thing. If Martinez really thinks he is better and wants the fight he would not need drug testing. This shows me he is not as confident that he will win against Chavez Jr as I thought he was.
