how many guys you know start off at 147 pounds and ends up taking on super middleweights when they are almost 38 years old? are you ****ing stupid? hes a small middleweight who was dwarfed by chavez....matter of fact, he is a junior middle that fights at middle for the sake of fighting. now kindly **** off dummy
Sergio weighs in around 168/9 which is what Pavlik weighed in at when he fought Jermain Taylor at a catch weight of 168. Sergio has been calling out smaller guys for a while now but wouldn't venture up 4 pounds for a Pavlik rematch. Too bad Kelly didn't go the Taylor route and put that into the contract since it was an optional defense. He knows that a size advantage counts which is why he is calling out everyone from welter to super welter.
Sergio stands to make the most as follows: 1. Floyd 2. Manny 3. Cotto 7. Ward He's looking for his retirement check. As many have said here, he needs to move down to 154 and light 1 or 2 guys up with big ratings and then Floyd/Cotto will be there for him.
U can't be this ignorant can you? It's about $, not being a *****. If Ward was the cash cow, he would be calling out Ward. atsch
Andre Ward: I dont think so [getting a fight with Sergio Martinez] for the moment due to the weight difference and size difference''. ''So at the moment I dont realistically think that fight [against Sergio Martinez] is going to be made. I think I would be very strong at the weight [175]. Im not even the biggest super middleweight, so I know the fighters at light heavyweight would be even bigger. But I know the ideal situation is to go to 175 and not come back down. Theres not a lot of options at 168. So in the coming weeks my team and I need to put our heads together and get creative in terms of whats going to be next. Because Ward will not go down. He is planning on moving up to 175 which is understandable. Can't blame Martinez.
exactly. martinez is willing to move down to 154, where floyd has a title presently. ward is not willing to move down to 160 to fight martinez.
