If GGG was going to fight on Klitschko undercards then he should've had a fight on either Vitali/Chisora or Wlad/Mormeck cards. It makes little sense to get a fight with an American fighter with name recognition and then fight him in Germany. Also I really doubt Mora would agree to that (he refused to fight Taylor in Memphis for crying out loud). I imagine this will be on ESPN or maybe an undercard fight on HBO or Showtime. Also, Mora is not a natural JMW. He only fought Forrest & Mosely at JMW and complained about making the weight, he's a MW.
Look Mora is past it at this stage but who else woud be there. Past it or not it's still a decent name and might help GGG get a slot on ESPN to start his USA profile which I have been saying all along is the problem with *some* European fighters who complain about not getting opponents but who don't have any kind of profile outside of Europe.
Mora realizes there is only one thing he really hasn't accomplished yet in his illustrious career - getting KTFO! Another check mark coming up...
Yep Mora has never been TKO,d in his whole career could end up like Simon I think he had the same claim to fame before he met Golovkin.!!!!
Golovkin was supposed to be the main undercard bout on Klychko-Mormeck but Volodymyr got injured. He could delay a couple months or fight Simon wherever they could find so he fought Simon in a small gym rather than wait, im glad he chose to stay active. He'll most likely be the main undercard fight at the next Klychko bout.
I'm glad he chose to fight in December. But he could've fought again in late February or early March on these cards against a moderate opponent, would've been good publicity. The next K-bros bout could be a very long time away. Vitali hurt his shoulder and is looking to run for mayor, and I don't think Wlad will fight Thompson until late summer? When Gena was doing the NY tour I thought they mentioned they want to concentrate him fighting in the US?
