    Martinez by KO

called it right after the win vs chavez that he'd go for cotto next cause it's an easy win for Maravilla and it'd do great PPV numbers

Excellent non biased breakdown my friend, I was hoping I would see this. Lol I actually think this would be a more winnable fight for cotto vs a potential fight with the redhead. Martinez would be vulnerable vs cotto's jab if he insists on relying on his reflexes. Martinez is an excellent athlete but his longer limbs wont pay dividends in the pocket with cotto...I still think cotto might be biting into ration that's to big to chew but Martinez won't make easy work of cotto no way no how.

I agree Martinez would most likely win but not without tasting some serious leather in the process, cotto has defeated better athletes than himself in the past and he's shown he can adjust unlike any fighter martinez has faced....every top level fighter Martinez has fought can be considered mostly one dimensional....diz, Paul, palvick, Chavez all fight at one pace and one style of course not the same style but at the very least they are quite predictable and stay within their comfort zone.

Some consider Martinez a larger version of PAC as reason to believe he would totally smash cotto but their offensive execution is not the same....the point of delivery and impact is much shorter on PAC generating a more explosive punch. Martinez's leverage would hurt him here if he dosent keep cotto on the end of his stick.

Cotto(e)'s next fight is against a southpaw, so he could be doing it for additional experience against lefties in case a Sergio(e) fight does happen

I doubt Miguel takes this though. He's the best in boxing at staying quiet and Sexy Sergio(e)'s style is all wrong for him

Sergio will fight Cotto at a catchweight, but won't go to 168 for a fight with Ward. Lol, that says all I need to know about this dude...

I still think Canelo needs more experience. He's doing great against his opposition so far, but he's doing what is expected of him. Not quite on the level that Cotto fought on against Mayweather.

Highlighted is interesting. Martinez got the better of Chavez on the inside even though Chavez had the shorter reach, but Cotto is more compact with his inside work. Cotto would be open to that powerful uppercut though.
