WTF! Are you serious? Jr will walk thru Cotto's punches and KHTFO.

I actually give a better chance at beating Martinez than beating Jr as Jr is too damn big. Not that I think Cotto can beat Martinez, just giving him more of a chance.

Didn't Cotto want a belt at MW? Wasn't Cotto looking at fighting N'Dam before signing with Trout? A catchweight is very reasonable considering Cotto wasn't minding moving up for N'Jikam and Chavez Jr. But if this fight were to happen expect Cotto to drag Martinez down to 154lbs to get an advantage over him.

If the GOAT offensive by numbers had a hard time crack Cotto's d what makes you think wild 1, 2 fighter presents any trouble to the renewed Cotto. Lets see How Martinez deals witha fighter with a elite jab, and a fighter that is one of the best at cutting off the ring, Martinez is simply tailor made for Cotto.

He will get jabbed to death trying to back up in straight lines, and Cotto rarely gets hit with straight punches, he get hits with uppercuts and looping shots, Serg throws straights 95% of the time

What's this **** about Cotto cutting off the ring?

He ain't gonna be cutting off the ring on Martinez, as Martinez is going to chasing Cotto down and knocking him the **** out.

Martinez skips around when fighting bigger guys, but he will finally be the bigger guy against Cotto.

Cotto doesn't hit hard enough, nor is he fast enough to trouble Martinez in any respect.

If he could cut off the ring against Manny and Mayweather and trouble them at times he could do it Martinez, don't be fooled by a Middleweight dancing against a square footed crusiser.....he ran for dear life from round one on vs Chavez still got hit 178 times, and Chavez still landed 46% of his punches, don't be fooled by the smoke and mirrors

Martinez is a counter puncher, the only time he tried to blow out the smaller man was Williams 2 and even that Ko was the result of a counter. Cotto power doesn't need to have tito power to KO Martinez, Martinez has been put on his ass by a pillowfisted WW named Paul Williams, he doesn't have granite chins like May and Pacquaio and his chin is crackable and with his hands down style he is susceptible to getting dropped with shots he don't see or flash knockdowns

At 154 and above, I have no doubt that Sergio has a better chin than Pac and May.

Look, Pac should be fighting at 140 and Floyd at 147, the reason they fight higher than this, is coz that is where the money is for them.

Same with Sergio, he should be fighting at 154.

I really doubt that Cotto will fight Sergio at any weight, but if he does, then Cotto deserves major props for courage, coz Sergio will destroy him.

Honestly I as a fan of Cotto nowadays, I think Martinez would be a far eaiser and winnable fight rather Canelo, styles make matchups

Yes, but if you are asking for a head to head comparison of their ability to take a punch, as opposed to a P4P, then I rank Sergio ahead.

Pac nearly took a knee from a body shot delivered by a well past his best Margarito at 150, Pac couldn't have stood up to the power of a Chavez Jr or Pavlik etc.

a top 4 p4p against a guy who is smaller, much more shop worn and past his prime. difficult to pick a winner here.

Cotto vs martinez has no chance vs chavez jr he has a big chance of outboxing jr.... there is no way cotto beats martinez but even with the size difference vs junior he can easily outbox him

    :hat
