Sergio was the green one in that fight.

The thing I keep forgetting about this General section is how stupid so many posters are, and you have proven yourself to be one of the dumbest.

Good fight. Not sure how moving down 6 lbs @ 37yo would affect Serg. Martinez UD either weight.

Martinez is too big for Cotto.
    (Jr. Stops Miguel aswell)

MC should chase that Canelo money.

YDKSAB! And this just proves it!

Knock down, yes. But not hurt when he was knocked down it was more of him been out of balance ala Marquez. Marquez has been down before but I have never seen him hurt its more of a out of balance deal and its the same with Sergio. The time Martinez was hurt was against Jr., and no he wasn't saved by the bell :patsch . Chavez Jr had 90 seconds to finish the job and he couldn't do it because a "hurt" Martinez was hitting him back :yep

Cotto jabs better than Darren Barker, and have better footwork than Chávez jr.

Kind of agree. Canelo is a bigger draw and will get Cotto the most money than a Martinez fight. But Martinez bigger than Cotto? :huh

Chavez Jr. bigger? **** yeah! And this **** about people saying Cotto will outbox Jr :rofl Cotto doesn't have the stamina that a 37 yrs old Martinez has, Cotto will tire and once he does, its lights out for him. Jr is just too big, too strong for Cotto. That is problaby why Cotto didn't bother chasing after Jr even though he said he was willing to move up to MW to fight JR. Maybe he saw how big Jr got at fight night :huh Either way he is ****ed with Jr.

Martinez desperately wants the big fights, but he has to accept it's not happening. Relax already.

Pacman and Money don't want it and Cotto, Canelo would demand 20 million to take such a risk.

Chavez Jr., Golovkin, Quilin, Geale, Sturm are good options.

Lets look and see who knocked Martinez down.

    Pavlik - Would KO Cotto
Chavez - Would beat Cotto (imo)
Williams - Theres no saying he wouldnt have knocked Cotto down too

The only fighter who knocked Martinez down that one could realistically think might not do it to Cotto himself would be Macklin. Not to mention that pretty much all of them except the Chavez knockdown were the epitome of flash knockdowns.

The thing is though, Martinez beat Pavlik, Chavez, and Williams.

Not so sure Cotto could sweep those three.

So not quite sure what Martinez getting knocked down by guys who would probably beat Cotto up has to do with anything.

Martinez had been a pro for 3 years, while Margarito had been a pro for 6, and obviously had more fights under his belt as well.

Seems to me you dont know what the hell youre talking about

If he can't get a fight with Mayweather, he should focus on unifying the MW division, which means he should take on Geale once the Australian beats the overhyped, overrated euro bum GGG.

What a crap fight. Again, Sergio is too big.

Sergio should be trying to fight Canelo, not Cotto.
