I am definitely not going to say I called it because I didnt, I always thought that Sergio would be too big and quick for Cotto.

However when watching the 24 7 which is the only means of visual analysis, I noticed no sparring or real road work from Sergio , also he did look a little fleshy.

Then come fight night and those shorts, I just knew he wasnt fit to fight, those knees were both bandaged up.

This fight almost reminded me of Hatton Castillo and a great fighter looking completely old and shot.

Hope he got the pay day he deserves and will remain a favorite of mine.

    Peace.

Sergio was a complete mess, stumbling over air, pants falling down. I cant believe he made it 8 rounds. Sergio can barely walk and tried to box on PPV.

Martinez has said that after the surgery, he couldn't walk for 7 months.

In this pics tonight, he had braces on BOTH knees. His knees were gone.

I've always said that he difference between a good fighter and a great one is foot movement. Martinez was falling all over the place on his own. His knees were not strong enough to support all that movement.

It's too obvious. He didn't move very well since the opening bell. It also looks like Martinez didn't do a lot of sparring either.

Martinez coming into the ring with his knee condition reminded me of some boxers coming into a fight with a cut eye that's not fully healed. ie. Vasquez/Marquez

i think he had those extra long shorts because he was trying to hide the knee braces, not that they were illegal maybe he was self conscious about them, noticed it right away. he knew he was crippled he just scammed everyone so he could get one last payday.

Fight should have been at least competitive if Sergio had any athletic ability left.

Haven't seen the fight yet but when I read what you guys are saying I wonder how Sergio was physically O.K.'d to fight by the doctor..

Actually I think I already know the answer: $$$

Sergio is a glass jawed quit job. Why does he get a pass for a loss? The man spent years calling out PAC and Floyd rather than face men his own size or move up. Now he has had his ass handed to him by a career 140lb fighter.

This is the man who would beat Mayweather? No chance.

Get a grip you little ****wit, the truth hurts. Martinez was the man for years on this forum that would "destroy" Floyd. Now he has shown himself to be no where near as good as people thought.

His best win was a knockout over Williams, a welterweight. Last night showed us why he wanted no part of a Golovkin or any super middles.

The disrespect shown to fighters by some of the posters here is sad.

It's okay to hype your own guy, there is absolutely no need to burn another.
