I don't want to watch this alone... no idea who are these two, Mendoza apparently is a hot prospect, who knows maybe a champion one day and this is a RBR that we did here ! First RBR I do after something like 8 years or so maybe.... I guess it´s not rocket science..

Starting in half a hour or so...

So, I´m catching up this only now..

Still two fights to go. Alberto Mora vs Alfredo Diaz.
Superfeatherweights;
Alberto Mora is 7-0, he is a prospect and has a opponent called Diaz that has 6-9, clearly a fight to give him some boost with a knockout win, maybe...

 

Alberto Mora vs Alfredo "Pelón" Diaz

Round 1

Diaz starts jabbing, Mora has a strong jab and hits Diaz with it hard, yet he is smaller ! He sounds much like the real boxer, Diaz looks like a guy that has another job but can fight if he cares about it, Mora stills with a power jab, gets countered though, Diaz knows how to fight... Mora with a left uppercut, you don´t see that very often, a guy uppercuting off the jab...
Diaz has a wide wide right hand, he is much better when he just waits and counter, he cannot lead the dance..

Round 2

They both jabbing, Mora jabs hard and puts Diaz against the ropes and lands some body punches.
Diaz has some nice head movements, but he can´t punch with his right, it´s weird. Mora puts Diaz against the ropes and put some body punching clinic, goes to the head mixing it and Diaz is shy already, do nothing anymore.
I gotta say though, zero killer instinct by Mora.
Diaz suddenly tries some combinations. Mora responds and puts again Diaz against the ropes but he is hitting the gloves too much, and again a left uppercut to the face of Diaz.

10-9 Mora.

 

Round 3

Center of the ring boxing, Diaz counters a lazy jab with a nice right. Diaz is trying to be the counter-puncher but he is too inactive, Mora missing wild now, not great... he puts Diaz against the ropes and smah him with some good right hands.
Finally Diaz is remembering to throw some jabs...
Mora puts him against the ropes but he is not landing nothing, some uppercuts here and there but could be much more agressive, he is waiting too much.
Diaz is hurt by a uppercut ! Now a right hand by Mora, Diaz is against the ropes and covers his face with the gloves and the round ends..

Round 4

Diaz quits on his stool. Seems like he broke his nose.

They are doing it like they did in the old days, receiving champions in the ring, Pedro Guevara, Carlos Cuadras, JCC, Juan Francisco Estrada, for a standing ovation.

 

"Principe" Cuadras receives the interin superfly WBC belt and gives a speech.

 

Well, apparently the main event is the Omar Chavez fight....

So, now we have the Yoreme Mendoza fight

 

Yoreme Mendoza vs Yoel Garcia

Round 1

Yoreme looks nervous, his facial expression is not good... he does look like a good boxer though, nice posture, good balance.
Yoreme is a southpaw, paws with his left and moves around looking for a opponening ith some feitns, the kid Garcia is not bad though, he can move with balance too, he is not there for the taken, he is not a roast beef ready to be eaten, he approaches Yoreme and Yoreme takes the bait and punches air, I´m a little impressed by these two.

Yoreme lands a BIG left hand and it is a KD! Garia gets up and is fine ! And the kid is not shaken at all, he is well stabelished and finished the round just fine.

Round 2

Garcia is 18 years old only btw.
Yoreme feints with the right and makes Garcia crouches, then Yoreme hits him with a left that he aims at the chest.
Garcia is feinting looking for his straight right to land. Yoreme has fast hand speed and a super nice right hook and he is landing it.
Wow these guys are good.
This kid Mendoza is a future world champion, he puts some great combinations on the infighting, uppercuts, right short right hooks, moves back and parrying Garcia´s punches... Garcia lands his hooks.

Round 3

Yoreme Mendoza is moving pawing with his right... Garcia feints a left above and goes with a straight to the belly, hitting nicely. They go to the infighting and hit each other with NASTY body combos. Garciais not moving his head anymore like he did... Yoreme is winning the round better this time and getting the better of these close exchanges.
Garcia is hurt !! Mendoza is smashing him with some vicious hooks !
Wow but Garcia hits back, this kid if ****ing tough. Mendoza is not feeling it and we have a nice war in the ring.

10-9 Yoreme Mendoza. Could have been a 10-8

 

Round 4

1 second into the round and they are hitting each other, Garcia is missing it too much... Yoreme trying to box but he can´t resist it, he goes agressive and puts Garcia agaisn the ropes and punch him at will. Garcia is good, tough kid but he is not doing well anymore, Mendoza is hurting him with too many uppercuts.
Nice moves and Yoreme puts a 5 punch combination and lands them all.
The right hook is doing damage too, Garcia is agains the rope sand Yoreme lands something like 10 punches but in the last second of the round Garcia hits Mendoza with a nice one.
