What is Barker's reach? I thought he had long gangly arms but can't remember what his reach or arm length was.

his actual arm length is only 24 inches which is shorter than Floyd's 26

Martinez also has an arm length of 24

So, here's the bet bballchump: Mayweather doesn't fight Martinez next, you leave for three months. Mayweather fights Martinez next, I'll leave for three months.

Ok deal. If Mayweather's next fight is against anybody other than Sergio or if he retires, I'll leave for 3 months.
Also I'm glad to see you finally realized what I was talking about with the right cross :hey

Best post. :deal I disagree with the ts because Sergio doesnt put his hands down all the time he was trying to make Barker lead. But I do admit it would be a 50/50 fight. Floyd doesnt have Barkers size , but he has the best defensive style and timing to give any fighter fits. I think I might give a close edge in speed to Floyd, also since Maravilla has been used to fighting guys bigger than him he might actually have a harder time with an elusive, smaller opponent. It has happened before. Where adv for Maravilla might come into play is his power. He is the most underrated puncher today and eventually he will catch Floyd I think late in the fight. I think Floyd will just barely survive some scares, he has the best balance in the game. Basically if Floyd boxes, he wins. Sergio makes it a war, he wins.

Mayweather would have a big stylistic advantage over Martinez among other advantages. Size and power would be 2 things that Martinez would have in his favor, but I don't see Martinez landing enough big shots to score a KO and would end up getting UDed by Mayweather.

I don't really see Mayweather losing this fight and I'll tell you why.

Martinez is not a pressure fighter, his style canNOT be adapted to be such. To make anything uncomfortable for Mayweather, pressure behind an actual jab (not the upswing martinez uses) is the only way. Martinez can not outbox Floyd, and the fact that Martinez NEEDS to be in the middle of the ring to do his thing, and Mayweather does not, doesn't bode well for the Argentinian.

That being said, Martinez has a punchers chance, but then again everyone does.

I agree, would love to see what actually happens, however I don't think he could get away with his hands down, as his speed adv. would be nullified, however, it's much more complex than that, and I would love to see how that dance would go.

he does do it all the time. Ive said it for a long time now and I made a thread on another site about it the day before the fight. Some responded like you did in that he only does it later in fights or when he's comfortable but thats B.S.

He does it in the 1st round on and he does it a ton in a fight
