Most Capitalists aren't exactly followers of Ayn Rand either are they? And if we want to be purists here Ayn wasn't exactly a follower of Adam Smith either was she? When did her crazy ass become the final word on what Capitalism is?

They both were raving maniacs... Still Hitler's reasons for doing what he did and Stalin's, I can sympathize with the former at least slightly more. Either way, there's not much between the two.

But for some reason Hitler is viewed as the devil himself yet Stalin doesn't seem to have that equally deserving reputation amongst the masses, at least there's more ignorance when it comes to the murders he has amassed. Is it because of the victory of WW2 that he was part of or because his agenda was more political whereas Hitler's was a racist one?

I'm pretty Sur only about 2% of the world has my purist views.

I'm a full on voluntaryist or autarchist.

So these arguments about which authoritarian, big government, anti liberty, statist ideology is less bad is silly to me.

Fascism and communism are equally idiotic to me.
Throw nationalism and racialism into that pile too

Most don't agree with me either, since I'd categorize myself as a Libertarian Socialist which is a walking paradox.

I don't think Stalinism has a place in today's world and I would probably stand against it as much as I stand against Radical Islam, that being said I can also see history in the proper context, the world was mad back then, its not even close to what it is today especially from an information POV, and they didn't have the ability to stop and look at themselves in retrospect like we do today because they were living it, they were all caught up in the fog of war. They were lost in the madness and couldn't see it as clearly as we can today. And when I look at it from that perspective Stalin was a fascinating man, the closest thing the 20th century ame to seeing a living breathing emperor or medieval king, how could you not be fascinated by him.

Don't tell me you're one of those naive John Lennon hippie types?

I guess he's fascinating in the same way Ivan the Terrible, Vlad Tepes or Caligula are fascinating.

John Lennon was a bit of a commie from what little I've read on him.
But yeah, some of his views were just fine by me.

Think I was fairly clear on my views here.
Individual liberty, free from government tyranny. That sums it up neatly

You do realize if your ideology were ever to come to fruition the world would end up looking like the Dark Ages right? Replete with Barbarian hordes, turf wars and pestilence.

    Well if you say so...
We have turf wars today, but we just call them "wars". They're like turf wars but a lit bigger and a lot more violent.

Apparently without government stealing our money every week, we'd all be eating each other walking dead style.

If what government does us as beneficial as you think it is, then people would voluntarily give to fund it, just like everything else in the market.

As opposed to being forced through violence to hand over their money, that they earned. Otherwise men in uniform will come to your house, kidnap you and put you in a cage.

Yup, thank God for government and the civilisation it brings.

Walking dead is pretty much what we'd get without government, I'm no fan of the government telling me what to do, it irritates me like it does most people, but I also try to be rational, reasonable and logical in my assessment of the world, people are just too damn greedy, evil, stupid and cruel to run things ourselves. Or maybe that's called being incredibly cynical, the world is full of ****ty people and if we had no government to govern us the s*** would float to the top, it always does.

Its like all of the naïve liberals that think if we had no religion we'd all love one another, no we wouldn't, we'd just find another idol or crutch to tack our hopes and dreams to and continue being mean to one another, and raping and killing so on and so forth. People by their nature are evil and controlled by their ids, and without rules, this world would be truly terrifying.

And then we'd go back to the way we are, with a government because that's for the better in the end. I think for the next millenium, politically we're roughly in a sweet spot lol.

As sad as it is, we're stuck and as far as government goes from country to country things probably won't change, and if they ever do, it'll most likely be for the worst.:-:)lol: So we should stick with what we've got and try to tweak it here and there.
