Muguia lost that fight and he knows it. No matter what the judges decision was. In his heart, Muguia knows he lost. When he re-watches the tape he will know again.

Derevyanchenko has to be one of the most entertaining fighters of this era, the man always gives it all in the ring despite being at a physical disadvantage. He's like a honey badger, absolutely no fear whatsoever. It just makes me sick that no matter how hard he fights he'll never get a fair shake.

He's one of the most gutsy and courageous fighters you'll ever see and he doesn't just dig deep every fight he digs a giant crater and gives every single ounce of himself he can give and he never gets rewarded for it in any of his close fights. He's a really nice guy too.

He's done everything they say foreign fighters are supposed to do and require of them to do to prove they're legit but not once has he ever got the rub of the green and that's hardly a coincidence. He didn't just fight over in the US he uprooted and left his homeland and based himself over there in order to forge a career for himself and he doesn't duck, dodge or cherrypick like so many others.

If he was one of Al's favourites he would

    1. Have achieved his dream of becoming a world champion

    2. Be undefeated

    3. He would've been managed much better.

With his initials he should at least be getting split decisions in his close call fights.

As much as I would like for him to finally win a belt it seems almost unreachable for him at this point. Taking in consideration the back-to-back bruising fights that he's been involved in and how much that takes a toll on his body. His style requires a lot of energy but he doesn't have fight ending power to help him finish strong. He's taken too much punishment and needs to call it a day.

If Derevyanchenko was a Mexican fighter he would have a W on his entire resume besides Charlo and would be known as an ATG

The problem is his legs are totally shot now. His chin is amazing but when he even throws punches he looks like he's going to fall. Seems like some neurological issue that is concerning. He should retire IMO.

Lord have mercy. SD should never fight again.

Back to back fights since he was 12-0

    12 round war against Jacobs
    12 round war against Culcay
    12 round war against GGG
    12 round war against Jermallo
    12 round war against Adames
10 round fight against Joshua Conley
    12 round war against Munguia

And most of them were proper or brutal wars where he took a ton of punishment and GGG, Jacobs, Jermallo, Adames, Munguia are all big punchers and he was hurt and/or dropped in all of those wars. Even the Culcay fight was a real war and he was hurt badly in that one too

Not to mention he had over 400 amateur fights, including 23 fights in the WSB

When I say he was mismanaged I ain't joking. He was thrown to the wolves and in war after war back to back to back

Even if he doe's want to fight on, what's out there for him other than some young hungry lion wanting a notch on his belt? No big name, money fighter will want the heat he brings. True warrior.

He’s taking on a strong, aggressive fighter that’s built like a tank tonight. Hoping he has enough fight left in him to go out on his shield or perhaps even retire on a high note.

    War SD!!! :ibutt

Came up short yet again.. This time he took quite a beating from Mbilli but still tried his best even with an injured arm.

His best days are over unfortunately. He’s no longer able to compete at a high level. Very hard luck fighter but still incredibly tough and a real warrior. I hope he decides to finally hang them up while he still has his health intact.

Boxing will surely miss SD when he calls it quits. Guys like him are what make boxing great.

Yeah, just imagine how tiring it is to try to keep a guy like Mbilli off you, with one arm. You have to change your footing and do things differently. I think that is why he stumbled occasionally.
