Ramos had a few moments in R2, placed some flush shots on Derevyanchenko's jaw, but the Ukrainian has an edge in every category - timing, power, technique - and is being the ring general as well as busier.

    20-18 Derevyanchenko

Derevyanchenko sliding in & out, surgically working behind the jab, starting to slam home some hurtful body shots. Ramos rolling with and picking off what he can but is reduced to moving and checking Derevyanchenko's advances with the jab, hardly any flurries anymore - not even when Derevyanchenko is standing in front of him thinking instead of throwing.

    30-27 Derevyanchenko

Wtf? Derevyanchenko with a body shot knockdown early in R4, and Ramos tries pleading with the ref about it being a rabbit punch?

What in the soccer flop?

So, the slow motion replay shows that it was a head shot that scored the knockdown - the commentators got that much wrong, but not a behind the head shot. Temple punch while Ramos was ducking. Perfectly clean.

To his credit, Ramos trying his best to slug it out with Derevyanchenko - just getting by far the worst of it.

His face is getting marked up, and his corner is screaming at him to stay off the ropes and tie up more.

    50-44 Derevyanchenko

Ramos needs a KO, and in his entire career has only scored four of those in 29 bouts.

...against, needless to say, a much lesser caliber opposition than Sergiy Derevyanchenko. :sisi1

Accumulation knockdown a little past the halfway point of the 6th. Derevyanchenko scored a few uppercuts and finished with a hook dusting the side of Ramos' skull to force him to a knee. He gets dropped again less than a minute later and the ref waves it while Ramos is still kneeling (with no signs of planning to rise).

    TKO6!

These commentators are beyond awful. Way over the top and utterly ignorant about the sport

Ramos has only previously been stopped by hard-hitting guys with high KO percentages: undefeated prospect Raúl Curiel and high-level journeyman Daniel Valdivia.
