I feel you on that. Bottom line is EVERYONE is a bit on edge regarding this fight due to how things have played out....of course we have Fans/Fanatics on both sides who are very head strong about who is right and wrong, but at the end of the day all of this bantering and arguing is building a lot of anticipation. So lets hope everyone isn't in for a major let down if these two can't reach an agreement.

atsch Thats not the point...The point is he wanted more money...He was about to let the fight not go through because he felt like he was the bigger draw...It was nothing more than a ploy to get more money...Me personally I do understand Manny for doing this...This is the exact same situation.

 

How can you say Manny is the smaller draw? It has no validity.
Who can say that people didn't buy the fight because of the opponent they each fought? When you order a fight it does not ask you did you buy this fight for Floyd or for Shane or Manny or for Oscar etc.. You would have to see 1000's of different fights to say who is the bigger draw. You also don't know the promotion budget and competition during the fights etc...
So saying Floyd is a bigger draw is absurd. Especially when his fights are hardly sold out and usually occur in vegas where many people get comped tickets.

Manny already budged to take blood tests. Manny during last negotiations was not fighter of the decade now he is. Floyd also won as he was expected to against Shane Mosley but did got rocked.
(Average age of Floyd's last 5 opponents is 37.5)

After the fight the line on Mayweather vs Manny went from Manny +200 down to Manny +125.

Everything NOW officially points to Manny as the clear cut P4P #1 from the boxing world who awarded him Fighter of the Decade, to fighters themselves who see Manny as the fastest and most dangerous fighter today.

The only group of people who do not accept that Manny took the #1 crown from PBF are Floyd's family and fans.

At the end of the day while Floyd was gone Manny earned the title. If Floyd wants it back or wants any claim to be P4P #1 and higher than Manny in history he has to fight Manny and win. Manny is acknowledging Floyd is one of the greats why he agreed to the tests and offered an even split --Manny is a class act.
Deal is there. Floyd gets the blood. Manny loses that issue. Even split against the P4P #1 Fighter of the decade seems like a fair deal to the world.
I am sure he will come back with another demand about the brand of glove Manny can wear.

Right. One argument is backed up with facts and numbers. The other argument is backed up with... nothing of substance.

 

So Floyd accepted 50/50 but in the space of one fight, where Pacquiao fought a complete nobody from Ghana and Mayweather fought a long established name from America results in a 10% purse swing? The last two fights did nothing to make either guy a bigger draw, so why the change in stance?

 

When was Manny ever out on his feet above 140 ? since he left the lower weights were he was drained and weaker he has never been rocked.
Manny is a bigger sell Globally. Floyd fights in Vegas and there are more Hatton fans and Manny fans and they are not even from this continent.
For the amount of punches Manny throws to never be hurt above 140 like Floyd was against Shane when Floyd moves his hands from his face less than any other PPV fighter is signifcant. It makes the case for why Floyd avoided certain fighters and why he would never face Manny. Day by day Floyd is losing fans and making more people sure he is a duck master.

Yeah but at the same time if you had a shrewd business mind, and you had clear conclusive evidence that you created more money than your opponent, wouldnt you push for the bigger share?

Its not as simple as just saying lets just do 50/50. Sure i probably would myself, but lets be honest, i dont have a sharp business brain like Floyd, which is why i am sitting in a shoe box of a room posting on internet forums, and why he is sitting a massive on a stack of cash.

I can see both sides of the argument, so i can kind of justify both corners acting how they have. You just need to look at it from both sides!
