What hurts Pac in sales is his whole country gets his fights for free. That's the main difference here between the two fighters and PPV sales. Pac's sales are from places other than his home base, Europe and America. But I know for a fact the casual fan base of pac is huge. I hear his name everywhere, mispronounced but they're trying.
What was unreasonable is how Floyd went about asking for the tests. He based his demands on ACCUSATIONS that he and his team spread about Manny. The guy he was suppose to fight. The guy that they've been bashing as "Hype" and one demensional who would be an "EASY NIGHTS WORK". Tell me this....how the **** is someone who is so confident in an easy nights work that will not only be his biggest pay day but also his biggest potential win come up with a reason NOT to make this fight happen. That don't sound like confidence to me With DLH Floyd gave in to EVERYTHING! That's the cocky, confident and braggadoish Floyd I came to know of love. This Floyd is a straight up ***** who's mouth is talking side ways. Point blank.......Floyd cause the intial break down of the fight with his demands of Olympic testing which he's NEVER, EVER done before and now he's using the purse split as the "fight killer" in round 2 of the negotiations. So if it walks like a "duck", Talks like a "duck" and looks like a "duck".....It's mother ****in "DUCK".. I'ma call a spade a spade and I pegged Floyd taking this stance MONTHS ago after the first break down of the fight. I knew he was gonna use MONEY as the reason NOT to fight this go round. G'damn.....these are ****ing fighters. Their job is to lace the **** up and knuckel down. Not come up with reasons NOT to do their ****ing Job.
that aint always the point though althoygh i do see what you are saying. but unfortunarely my friendd business doesnt work like that, in another way that is like wal-mart selling products cheaper to white people just becaaue there are more of them in usa and selling them more to black mexican and other cultiures. that is not how things work my point is mayweather just like oscar isnt going to sell himself short for the other guy to make more money then he is entitled to:hi:
boxer of the decade doesnt count for anythig when negotiating a fight, because it is not done by a public vote but a smal panel in which the president of that panel chooses who the winner is.:hi:
It's a gurantee this fight does at least 2 million in PPV buys. Regardless of who worked harder to promote their brand the fact of the matter still remains that they need one anther to make this money. Without them they can make money but not Floyd/Manny money. They both know that...so the question remains.....who wants the fight more or do they both wnat it equally. The difference with your comparision using DLH is that DLH could make money with whoever he faught and he could give his opponent 1% of the purse an it would be thier biggest payday ever. FLoyd can't do that and neither can Manny...and they sure as hell can't do that against one anther. So.....50/50 is fair.
Yea I know...:smoke How many times did Floyd get Figher of the decade or fighter of the year?:huh:hi:

lmao it dont count for ****, its a nice award:thumbsup but means ****all at the negotiating table im afraid. are you going to give more bread to another man when it shoulod be in your own pocket? i dont think so:bart
Manny doesn't want the fight bad enough. If he did, he would have agreed to the blood testing and the cut off date of 14 days (2 weeks) before the fight. If it takes you more than 2 weeks to recover from blood being drawn then you have problems. Manny is the one backing out of the fight and making up excuses. First two weeks wasn't long enough to recover, now he wants nothing less than 50/50. Puhlease.....
No they can't be Warren Buffet! Tangible assets are the only thing that matter in determining a split of this size. Who brings in more money! That is all that matters for the split, and Floyd has proven on well more than one occassion that he does. Just like Oscar got the lions share when he fought 3 different P4P best and lost every time.
im not doubting that he is bigger in asia, of course he is sharig the same charecteristics is going to make it that much easier vfor him. however my point is you know full well that FOTD doesnt mean anything when negotiating for a fight. if pac has the support of asia in itself where were the ppv sales for that area.if he had any that would of course make him a bigger cash cow then floyd. that in itself is the equivalent of floyd saying my kinfolks are african and im the bigger star there but do not sell ppvs their. where is the proof. do you see what im saying
Floyd is the better draw. However, this is all part of negotiations. IMO Pac daserves anywhere from 45-50%. Past figures sometimes don't reflect the current marketability of a fighter. Floyd IMO deserves 50-55%. One must remember, with the large amount of money involved, 1% could mean up to $1 million. A 60/40 split for Floyd where Floyd makes $6 million and Pac $4 million is not the same as 60/40 where Floyd makes up to $60 million and Pac $40 million.
